  1. Nah, not my type. Apparently my current chick thinks Jack Harkness is my type. That really worries me A lot
  2. Oi that is supposed to be a secret - I got a lovely pad up there just at the right time - overlooking the river, Penthouse, full services and superb ventilation system from all the RPG holes. good price too Anyone want free holiday let me know. I already tried to set up a 3 amigos reconcilliation meeting there but for some reason they were not too keen. Obviously still not ready to live together, can't see why they wouldn't want to go out clubbing locally together. Meanwhile thinking of Qatar, looked nice watching it on golf today. What was with that wonky building though? Anyway Tuesday tomorrow, the second day of the working week
  3. Considering the lessons that were learnt last time, that limits your source who txt'd you to a very small number of people who are either likely to be covered by NDA's or people who are guessing. Careful you may get burned or burn what could be happening IMHO of course
  4. In the true spirit of the "we don't get info" thread, a mate of mine in the Chapel End says he saw somebody with earlobes in the Directors Box at the Doncaster game who looked European that we haven't investigated recently HTH
  5. Has there been any alteration to Wotte's contract now he is head Coach? Is it a permanent appointment? Do you feel guilty printing that nasty (but beautifully worded) letter from DP that made JP run home to Holland in tears?
  6. It's quite simple, we all grew up... If you look back everyone posted everything they heard every day. There were often 1,000 posters on line so who could say where a leak came from. Nowadays there are 150 ish on here regularly and 30 or 40 get snippets. So if one of them post, they actually stand out. If they heard something from a friend or a business contact, it makes it much easier for somebody to trace that leak - so bingo posting here just gets people into trouble Also, the ITK'ers with their "we know more than you do so we are uber fans" attitude means that people just get attacked demands for their source etc, so why bother. often it can be only a rumour or something heard 3rd hand or even just deduced by logic and yet abuse flows... What I think you do now see are little snippets posted into threads, there were a few in the "Meeting at Staplewood" thread, and there was also some good analysis of what may be going on. The problem is as I commented elsewhere our "automatic Lowe is insane" filter often means we miss a post that hasn't been a complaint. The days of leaks and scoops on here are long gone, even FF being told to leak about Crouch being at SMS just led to another set of "rants" as to what shareholders should do interspersed with some good debate, rather than ask... Hmm Why would that be leaked and by who So even IF we got a scoop on here, we probably wouldn't notice it!
  7. Crikey 6ft 2in Tall and 27 years old and played in the UEFA Cup and for some time in the Dutch PL.. Now there's a surprise
  8. I love it when we go off on our rants about life the universe and everything, it makes much better reading than the usual stuff. Some observations though The CLUB haven't said Wotte is permanent YET JP left on a Friday night with an important game coming up on Tuesday We always assume that the Board are criminally insane when they do anything because of their track record We have a well published problem coming up in Mid-March So just with that in mind, bearing in mind the timelines for employment legislation and everything else, the simple OS statement is that Wotte is first Team Coach. Seeing as he is actually already paid by the club, I think that nobody in their right mind would accept a contract to come and work here for 2 months and possibly not get paid, then what has happened to this point actually makes sense especially as it was splashed all over the press. I think that the publication of the finance issue in the press has a lot more bearing on all the hints, nudges and rumours going on at the moment on here. Obviously it looks like people are looking to find a solution. In that case then it still would make sense to appoint Wotte. Certainly no mention has been made of any change in his contract terms and the CLUB have not (yet) said it is in anyway a permanent fixture. If some are to believed we're moving to Hungary or Holland, this week so what else would anyone on here do? Who was it who once said "follow the money" I think that is where the answer lies in the appointment at the moment, anything else is just internal motivational stuff and external PR. If they say he's got a permanent contract I'll happily eat my words but until then I ain't happy with Wotte but I think I see why.
  9. Yes it would BUT unfortunately the shares being owned by those gents means that the money goes to THEM, which still leaves THE CLUB without any cash. This is not as easy as it always first looks
  10. OK look what happened down here in the desert this weekend... http://www.gulfnews.com/nation/General/10278477.html 10 cm of fookin SNOW and not indoors either!
  11. Putting my analyst hat on again for moment. I HATE management books but one line in one by Stephen Covey has served me very well in life = "Seek first to Understand" I've posted that we have commented that Lowe (and the board) should stay away from the players, and also that Monday was not the time for any "knee jerk" reactions I also understand the forum's conviction that Lowe has no brains whatsoever and appears to have the mental age of a 3 year old and their temper tantrums. But in a more "WTF is happening world"... > Something did not seem right on the pitch against Doncaster > There were comments in "The Meeting" thread that suggested TWO meetings. >There seems some unrest with the Wotton incident then the Hockaday incident Could it possibly have been that the FIRST session at Staplewood Lowe et al went to find out what was really going on? talking to the whole football side? and maybe (as a real "manager of people" would do) having sessions with the individual stakeholders players & management... I know it is a leap of faith but it just seems that AFTER the morning meeting JP simply re-iterated to the waiting Echo reporter what he would have said to the Board. Sort of Yes Bosh, working harder bosh. no problems here bosh... The Board then retire to SMS to discuss what they have learned. Then they discover the truth. We simply don't know. Which is always the problem
  12. That is the sort of comment that would make me Madof hell at you
  13. FC great sentiments But I do think you should avoid spoiling your weekend by at least trying to believe what is actually stated on Pravda (oops sorry OS) first. That way you can smirk at the irony of Dyer's goal like the rest of us and it won't hit so hard. Also it may allow you share time with a better half and avoid the legal costs of a divorce for being grumpy all the time :-)
  14. Good point, but NASTY NEO NAZI FACIST CENSORING ADMIN OUT
  15. Wow that is exactlly the figure needed to release funds from my account in Nigeria. Please send this directly from your personal account (my details sent by usual method) I will then undertake to return your $64,000 with a 30% share of the US$476,971,453.29 that has been illegally siezed in that country
  16. I really should have gone into corporate PR Oh wait I sort of did lol
  17. Yes (Page 14 of Sales Questioning techniques for Dummies - just after MS Excel for Dummies and before the rapidly selling PR for Dummies to be found on the shelf in W H Smith's - start posts with Open Questions) Real answer. The club made a simple and short statement that only amounted to two lines on the OS. In Wilde's statement there is a paragraph there is no comment about the length of his employment on the OS or in the Chairman's statement? Only comments about continuity We have 8,972 pages speculating about a comment on SSN but the word from the club is different. Maybe we can find the truth out?
  18. I always laugh, my mentor in analysis is Basil Fawlty in a row with Sybil who said - there you go stating the bleedin obvious as usual! There's no way I'd pick an argument with Alps, he's actually been right, I was being a bit more late night frivolous. But also being more realistic (ie obvious) who kept Lowe in the gravy train, allowed him the platform to become a member of the FA? MLT of course by keeping us up for so many years and actually letting Lowe build Camelot and it's catering facilities, so the idea of the person responsible for Lowe being in power being banned is actually funneh! (see what I did there - new slant - it's MLT's fault we're stuck with Lowe....shouldn't have kept us up single handed for so long)
  19. OK so a more accurate question would be MLT questions managerial appointment for the second time. Will this lead to a breakdown in relations with the Board that leads to him getting banned? Chill Alp's I understand what you mean on this (oh and btw you were right to keep *****ing about the experiment ok!) but in fairness we never once went back after we "fell in love" with NP and said - Why did MLT who is a legend and knows everything criticise Pearson's appointment? (Because like us he went - who? at the time!) Anyway like you am not happy with things
  20. hmm any relation to Austin Powers? But you see it DOES refer to our catering! Too piquancy they didn't like the Chicken Balti pies!
  21. Ah so they understand how we feel then
  22. There was a danger at least two fans may have turned up to watch at Staplewood. Jan was worried about a protest maybe Or possibly they didn't think the burger van was a sufficient display of our world class catering for our guests?
  23. Yep simple It's about a bloke who seems to have a bar who is definitely Eastern European in appearance and comes from Peru or Colombia who is named after a part of Belgium that wants independence but seems to be Dutch oh, he is someone who doesn't have any distinguishing earlobes who had an article in a Dutch football magazine that we had translated saying that he is in fact the Chairman, Manager, Head Scout and of course Head of Catering. Oh he is not liked, his name doesn't exist on the internet and of course he is not listed as an employee of SLH but he does seem to play football with the lads when they turn up for passing practice (Apparently it is too gentle to be called training) HTH
  24. Hmm this starts to work Staying outside and throwing tantrums hasn't worked Using "friends" to post that they hope we lose matches to get change hasn't worked I wonder if he's realised the simple truth Join the board, work alongside Wilde & Lowe and in return for help with the cash flow they all negate each others more extreme excesses Then I woke up and got a beer deciding that was as funny as watching a repeat of Naked Gun on the movie channel here earlier this evening. hmmmm but maybe nah
