IMHP we SHOULD have signed him ages ago when we were trying to, but then he went off elsewhere Tim keep up the good work - you are not alone

Finally somebody spotted something as well. Thx Stanley Now we all know what the process is to take us over, all we have to do is find out if anybody has spoken to Keith Harris about this
-
nick - didn't you post something on the "Board meeting" thread about JP on the Monday about somebody on the groundstaff doing a tour for somebody?
-
Wolves & Saints had friendlies against Upjest, Wilde & Morgan have possible links. Morgan seen at SMS. Saints sign a CB from Upjest What else have we missed in the scramble to diss the poster is all I was pointing out. In business terms - take Wolves up sell them straight away for a nice profit as they are a PL team and buy, turn us around strip out the land and the same again. Worked in property speculation for a long time why not? At least it is a RUMOUR, been ages since we had one of those

Unless of course one of the two clubs mentioned sold themselves to the Hungarian team who were linked to both all last week. hmm

lol been waiting for one of TT's threads and I'm all ready to retaliate.... http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story?id=614397&sec=americansabroad&root=americansabroad&cc=4716 U.S. stars need to return home is the headline... :-)

Add into that mix, intransigent, egotistical, petty, small minded, dodgy or possibly unscrupulous businessmen, hangers on and general riff raff that the club has hanging around their board room and is it any wonder that Admin has not worked. Sorry - was talking about an alleged club up the road, but suddenly recognised it as allegedly being a club closer to home... In other words CBF you are completely correct and we are just a bigger version of them and admin is likely to have the same result just makes Krasner et al richer

Ah ha - so it isn't the sandwich factory, he's obviously moonlighting as a Flight Steward for Flybe

The official fan club is the only way to get standard tickets for away games. You can also apply for tournaments via the lottery system on say the FIFA or UEFA sites. FWIW in Japan in '02 they limited the non fan club tickets for England games to non-UK residents, as a result almost every fan we met was an expat who'd got them this way (SF, Perth, Melbourne, Rio, Jo'Burg - in fact fans we met in the bars and stuff were from everywhere EXCEPT from Blighty as they were stuck in cotton wool on the official packages. There are reputable agencies as well who do the tickets, but they cost a LOT of money. I used one for Japan to do all the group games, but I HAD saved up for it for 2 years, or another way (probably pre-recession) is to talk you company's marketing team into being either a support sponsor or to do corporate packages to tournaments. That way I got to France '98 and Portugal '04 - all freebies - it all comes down to "But Boss they will only place this huge contract IF we do this" works every time. (Of course that approach is stuff all use if you are working on a shop floor I know) The final way is to win tickets, again easier here, especially with Emirates who do a "fly loads of miles and get a ticket" draws. You apply for a match in advance and then fly a lot to b*llsh*t meetings. Of course no help if you don't have a B**s job but it got me to the Portugal qtr final in Germany (arrgghh) and the Rugby in Paris. Getting these is a state of mind, you have to plan and attack it properly, for me, seeing any England side away was always a dream, I then bent my work stuff or vacations around that as I worked my way up the ladder in the company. The piece de resistance was getting full-on Corp Hospitality for the France Brazil final in 98. People call you jammy but in fact it really was down to damned hard work and planning. I could have changed jobs loads of times BUT this was my dream more than the job titles and it worked, and everyone thinks I am one lucky b*std, but they had no idea how much work it took to blag that stuff!

Interesting concept. We go into Admin, the shares are worthless, HOPEFULLY a new company SFC 2009 is formed so the old shares are dead, AS WELL AS THE PROXIES by which he gained control in the first place. Anything not nailed down will be flogged at the car boot sale and this year's U-16 team will start the first game next season in L1. But Lowe won't have the 3 or 4 million to pay Krasner's fees let alone buy the club back and somehow I don't think his buddies will be too pleased he lost them all their money, so yes, he will be gone, maybe in the next couple of weeks if you believe that article in the media.

An employee in Lowe's new-look Southampton shows that he has managed to retain his sense of humour. Apparently the Police have been called. Lowe is said to be inconsolable that his plan to turn the residents of Southampton into equally heartless zombies appears to have failed in the face of a stubborn undergroud pro-humour resistance

18p a share, surely now the time is right!!
dubai_phil replied to thorpie the sinner's topic in The Saints
Issued capital approx 28,000,000 shares. We are discussing here the trading of 115,000 shares or about 0.4% Lowes group holds around 46%, Leon around 9% Doesn't look like it's gonna make a very big difference to the overall picture:-) But if it gets into the 4% of shares it could be interesting. Again though - There is NO point Leon buying ANY shares - The CLUB needs the money not some investor or fan somewhere. The idea of Lowe et al buying shares at this moment when he MUST know the complete condition and future of the club also seems outstandingly unlikely. -
Uh - The article is in the Daily Mirror Am sure that doesn't invalidate your opinions about the Echo but...

If only that first line were true, but I really don't believe it is, not anymore

Found this on a link to Dyer's loan.] http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2009/02/01/struggling-southampton-fc-blamed-for-increase-in-domestic-violence-115875-21087683/ A city's soccer woes are reported to have brought a huge increase in domestic violence. now this is not good people, you are targetting your aggression in the wrong direction But what ACTUALLY worries me is - here we are, the club is in DESPERATE need of a cash injection to stave off Admin (as per the media) and somebody who COULD in theory help - The Council - have increased their costs for Counselling by 1 Million QUID. That seems a stupid waste of money all they are doing is treating symptoms when they COULD have used that money to help cure the CAUSE. The council has had to spend an extra £1million on more social workers. Dear Council - either this is a poor bandwagon jumping on excuse OR you are wasting your money because this is ONLY going to get WORSE. 2 mil we could have done something and removed the cause... Anyone heard any ACTUAL stories to back this article up?

darn this comes back online just as I am ready to pass out and fall asleep

Last I heard Greenland was Boyatt Wood?!! Oh alright then Surman at left back Mclaggon on the wing and Lallana on the bench instead of Mcl, A lot of it depends on Wotte's comments will he field the first half team against Swansea or the 2nd half + one?

Spent 5 days in the Florida Keys last summer - found a fantastic place in Key Largo that gave sailing lessons and was like self catering huts and a supermarket nearby for steaks & beer & stuff, loved it The drive from LA to San Francisco is priceless, stop along the way overnight and go out whale watching in Monteray Bay Did it all independently much better places to stay (all american B&B and lodge type places) and cheaper than a package if you use the internet well for best flight deals etc.
-
Damn Rupert will be unhappy that he didn't steal the idea first:-) Uh oh - that means he'll be looking for another idea playing in special magnifying glasses or something or specially made bigger boots/1 metre wide gloves for KD... Thanks for the info - we never hear that sort of story down here Wasn't having a dig just having a smirk at the thought of it.
-
Of course I knew that. In fact been checking with my mum regularly up in Salisbury It's a way of consoling myself. The good news - I have to do a trip back to the UK which covers a Staurday - Tuesday Hooray. The bad news - it's next bl**dy week so I can't make it to the away game Boo. After this one, nothing planned for the rest of the season as my new co gets up and running so I prob won't see another CCC game at SMS Meanwhile - did I tell you about the golf at the weekend? McIlroys dad's a nice guy and good ole Darren Clarke stands his round at the bar....:smt048

LMFAO at this, now we're posting FM stats on our welcome to Southampton threads... Good grief how stupid this club has been over the past years. That's it. I'll DHL a copy of the latest version to Wotte tomorrow so we can save ALL that money on Scouts and videos of players and we can become the first club in the WORLD to become fully automated and buy our players according to their rating in a game... Ranks alongside the Dutch experiment - you posters will have a LOT to answer for when Rupe's launches this as the BIG NEW IDEA for next season. Zoltan, welcome to Southampton, we are friendly, see we even adjusted our local weather to make you feel more at home. Don't mind our official welcome committee, it is all part of the initiation ceremony we have at this club. Get fit, get focused and listen to the coaching staff.
