Yawn... Glenn has raised significant capital for his Academy from an investment fund. They will have him tied to a Key Person contract. If Hoddle was to leave his venture then the investors would lose the branding that they have invested in. Ergo, they will want their money back. Seeing as the sums involved are (in all likelihood) to be in the order of US$20 million, could somebody kindly explain how we can expect to pay that sort of compensation? Why would he risk his reputation with his Academy project with us? there is simply NO business benefit for him. It is NOT as if he is an unemployed manager, he is somebody with a damned good idea to develop players for football. And on TOP of that he has some problems over the Premier League player ownership rules which he has to address. Nice idea him coming back, but next tree to bark up please IMHO of course

FF the problem is that this only moves the deckchairs around again. Wilde cannot control the club with his shareholding alone, Crouch may put some short term cash in, but the REAL problem becomes once again fractured ownership and it makes it very difficult for somebody to take the club over from outside (if they could be found) and also buys us what? time until the end of the season? Wilde didn't find investment, Crouch didn't find investment (despite ALL his contacts and hope of Salz) they STILL haven't found somebody to back them so when we move the deckchairs we are lost AGAIN. All 3 have to stop fighting and all 3 bring in PROPER professionals with a mandate, otherwise we buy a few months and TBH Lowe & Wilde may be able to do that anyway. It's a MESS and moving deckchairs between the 3 amigos has Failed Failed and Failed. Agree with all above. I think as fans we need to break the problem down into bite sized chunks. The three I see are JP isn't making it happen on the pitch the youngsters will be good but need help Rupert has the problem of a failed manager Problems are best solved one at a time and over a few weeks or months. As we know the simple solution is find a zillionaire and get Wenger in as manager with some players that aren't Kaka. But in reality we HAVE to ensure CCC survival so I think it can be done as follows 1) Lowe needs an excuse. He has set a Strategy and an Vision. JP is not producing the results that the Vision requires so he needs an excuse to dismiss JP. That could be simple - we "hear" from Green Tree Frog that JP et al are on a low basic high bonus salary structure. Lowe & JP can agree a severance on mutual agreement. JP can say it is because his lowe (sic) salary and the fall of the pound means he has to return to Holland for personal reasons, or something similar. 2) We may need to sell one player to afford the quality of experienced loan players we will need to stay up (as well as possibily appeasing the bank). That COULD happen if we are able to move somebody like Euell/Skacel and then Lowe can justify it within his experiment as "replacing valuable experience that we thought we would have with Svennson" 3) The Lowe issue can be resolved once a replacement manager is secured - somebody who KNOWS what they need to do with the kids and is prepared to work for a lowe base salary and big bonus for keeping us up Now I am NOT siding with Lowe, but I point out that when you paint somebody into a corner, you tend to bring out a "Fight or Flight" reflex. We already KNOW Lowe won't walk (yet) so as Fans we need to understand that he is the personality to fight back out of that corner, so we need to understand he will have to solve the JP problem with PR spin. Losing the 3 amigos is critical to our survival, but what has become MUCH more urgent in the fans eyes is get rid of JP NOW, and we can get rid of Lowe in a few weeks time because AT LEAST with a REAL manager we may just win another game at home this seaons and MAY stay up. GOT IT! Of course how stupid - he IS JP & Wotte's agent - they signed their contracts back in May... He's here to get them a Cost of Living Pay Rise they came from Holland where they were paid in Euros So not only has JP done a "fantastic job" Rupert, but because the Pound has crashed and they are now earning 30%ish LESS than when they started...
