I was 13, went with my older brother and his family. As his kid was young we got to the front of the que and stood on the front the very front of the upper tier. One of my life's regrets is that in all honesty I didn't see the lap of honor as I was ducking down under the wall as united fans tied there scarf' s together to scan the wall from the lower tier. In those days you coukd drink beer inside the ground and united fans below were lobbing full beer cans up at us. When we got outside afterwards they were swarming the coaches looking for saints fans to attack. As an aside, thr following season when they visited the sell in a freak cup re draw, they were the most aggressive I've seen in 40 years of going to football. (Maybe cos I was still young but that's how I remember it)

I hope we're going to launch a judicial enquiry into Russian meddling with our transfer campaign. And I hope President Les will be forced to give evidence under oath.

My father-in-law drives from Botley every game. Leaves home at 2-15, parks in Siemens cafe park in Northam, in his seat by 2-25. God I pity him at the moment. Even worse, I flew home at Christmas and got three games in, one goal for, six against.

Wait till we're 3-0 down (should take ten minutes) then repeated loud "you don't know what you're doing" chants for the rest of the game would hopefully embarrass the club into doing something...anything, is better than watching the inevitable slide out of the league.

My lasting memory from the last game was that, at the time, my company sponsored the "Junior Saints" and we had a couple of advertising boards around the ground. After the final whistle I was walking down Milton Rd to see a very enthusiastic guy running down the street with my company's logo under his arm as his Souvenir. Still wonder if it's pride of place on his bedroom wall. Lol

I had a feeling there was going to be some weird selection choices today after MP's club interview Friday. He said that players really had to want to play for Southampton. That's saying to me that theres been some unrest in the camp. And it's obviously BS cos he still picks VVD.
