Nothings going to change until we start buying players that their clubs don't want to let go. IMO, thats the difference between the real top teams and the rest. Every player we purchased in our squad was "available". To me that means that they weren't brilliant for their team. Kind of like us letting Long or Austin leave in January, to bring in better talent. The top six only target players who are covered by their existing clubs, we target the ones not quite cutting it. Okay, we do uncover the odd diamond in the rough, but more often than not, theres a reason they were for up for sale in the first place.

Im a bit old fashioned tbf, poch is probably one of the best managers in the world right now, but he still jumped ship as soon as a better offer came along, and had no scruples about being announced an hour after NA was shown the door. I dont live in the UK but haven't I seen somewhere that the South Coast is due a mother of a storm on Saturday? So add howling wind and rain to the mix and it should really make for an enthralling spectacle. I'll still be watching but I do not hold out any hope of anything other than a snore fest.

So here's a question...IF he stays, and he plays against the dippers, do we still still give Lovren a proper booing when we obviously won't VVD. In my opinion VVD has behaved much worse.

Imagine celtic would be ****ed if we swopped VVD for Walcott and two years of Walcott wages, guess they don't get much of their sell on in that scenario?

I really can't make my mind up on this subject. The difference in performance/outcome of elite sports is si so fine that even if he does suck it up and put the shirt back on, who's really able to tell if he's 100% trying. I'm not sure it's good for the other players or anyone at the club to go through a Jose situation again. my question is, would yours that have 90% effort from VVD or 100% from Maya or Jack?

if I was running the club's transfers and the other clubs i was speaking to about buying players from knew my club had just been purchased, I guess a leek like this would be quite useful in limiting the selling clubs expectations of what we could afford?
