  1. If fans were so distraught after the second 9-0 and wanted to make it known to the board that it was unacceptable what did they do? I don't remember any protests or pitch invasions if that's what you're thinking other clubs fans would have done. People mention that he should have been sacked and that's their opinion but if they were so passionate about it they could have tried to make their feelings known, no one was stopping them. I agree with TWar that this cultist thing people toss around is a bit weird. It's just people who don't have the same opinion as each other, and considering this is a football forum that's hardly a surprise.
  2. De Gea has to get up and try an play rather than laying down in the goal. You can't expect the game to stop just because you are hurt, and it's not like he was really injured or anything.
  3. It's respected more around the world than it is here now that's for certain. Some elements of BBC News are still excellent, the World Service is one of them. It's presented without agenda or ego just how news should be. I sometimes catch the odd bit of TV News but it's quite rare. Saying that, last night on News at 10 they had a sobering report on the displaced people of Yemen who are living in tents in the middle of deserts due to the incessant war in their country. It was a truly excellent piece of journalism.
  4. My favourite example of this was the bloke who tried to bring a tray of about 5 pints back up into the seats after half time. He got a reasonable way up the stairs before a steward told him to take them back down. I'd like to think he stood in the concourse and drank them all himself during the second half and went home absolutely shit faced.
  5. They are still high up the table despite not winning lately. A tough team to play against who are well organised and work hard. They picked up a decent point late on last night. The obvious result is a draw so I'll go for a 1-1 where we are leading at half time.
  6. The first one came through a load of players so he probably didn't see it until fairly late. It could easily have bounced to one of our players but instead found one of theirs. Could he have done better? Perhaps, it's definitely not a horrible mistake by any means. I didn't get a good view of the second from where I was sat but it was hit low and hard from not that far out. If he stands too close to the near post Maddison probably rolls it into the far corner. Some fans go so over the top with their dislike of him that they wouldn't even acknowledge his stunning save from Barnes. He's by no means an outstanding keeper although anyone playing in the top flight of the biggest league in the world is obviously very good.
  7. I enjoyed that. Both teams have it a go and it could have gone either way. Similar story as previously with a great first half performance followed by the opposition changing things up in the second and playing much better. Neither team will be overly disappointed with a draw. Leicester missed a couple of very good chances at the end though and that save by McCarthy was one of the best you'll see all season. I do wish we'd had a couple of decent shots on target in the second half, but it ended up with half chances where we didn't get an effort in. They obviously have better players so a point is a good result despite being ahead twice.
  8. I'm not going then. SACK THE BOARD.
  9. There's loads of new vans around by the ground which seem to get more expensive the closer to the stadium you are. One called Hot Stuff is decent, if you exit the ground from Kingsland/Chapel corner and take the road behind the industrial estate it's on the corner in the car park of one of the units. There's another fish and chip place sometimes opposite which looks alright.
  10. Most importantly will the new screens be up?

Are you Medway? My sister is a paramedic there.
  12. England's goal difference after 6 games in this group is +53.
  13. We drew with Man City this season, does that make us as good as them?
  14. Crazy to watch that. As above there was definitely a hint of Tyro about some of the Latvian play.
  15. 18-0. Keeper spoons a clearance straight up in the air and someone nods it past her. Still 10 mins left, could be 20 by the end! It's so weird watching it I can't imagine what that Australia v American Samoa 31-0 game was like to watch.
  16. 16-0. The Latvian keeper is really quite small which is helping. Reminds me of Tyro when they go to full size goals and kids just start chipping balls over the keepers because they are too short to do anything about it.
  17. 14-0. Get in. I'm watching history in the making here unlike the rest of you fools watching Newcastle and Norwich hack the ball around to decide who will be bottom of the league. At least you don't have to put up with the irritating England band though.
  18. She looks about 12 years old. I feel sorry for the Latvian striker who is basically chasing the ball from side to side but never getting to touch it. Must be about 90% possession for England.
  19. I straddle the bald, mid 40's and glasses wearing sections which is going to be a tough ask because they will all be rammed.
  20. Thought you'd be watching the England game mate. The Lionesses are 9-0 up against Latvia after 49 minutes.
  21. What happens if you fall into more than one of the subgroups? Where do you sit then? There must be a vegan statto bisexual somewhere in our fan base.
  22. I get it when they offer a free month, watch whatever I need to on Prime (there's not that much really) and then sack it off. Makes me feel like I'm beating the system when in reality they already have so much money they couldn't give a shit.
  23. Quite glad it's only 2 home games because I'll be at them anyway which means I won't be tempted to give my money to Amazon.
  24. First half we dominated possession but it didn't seem like that in the second half. They had lots of territorial advantage although they only scored the winner because of some rank defending and goalkeeping. The only other clear cut chance I remember was when McCarthy ran out for that cross and missed it, although I haven't watched the highlights since I was in the ground and didn't want to see any of that again! Should have easily walked away from that with at least a point.
  25. We're going to have to agree to disagree on that one then. Losing 9-0 twice makes no difference to me. The only time I ever think about it is when it gets brought up on here which seems quite regularly at the moment. I even work with Pompey fans and they don't really mention it. Seems like it bothers some people more than others but that's always going to be the way.
