Huh? He got through loads of work off the ball and is currently the best of our players in that position with and without the ball considering Stuart Armstrong rarely plays.

A colleague at work has a son who is a nurse at the General on the covid ward. A couple of weeks ago 2 unvaccinated men in their 80's came in saying they had tested positive for covid and asked if they could be treated. They had very mild symptoms, no issues breathing etc but still wanted to be seen by doctors. They were asked what they thought the hospital could do for them. They had no real answers other than they wanted to be seen. Obviously they were sent away but it goes to show what people are like.

At least he learnt from the mistake against Wolves which let Jiminez score and took Antonio out on the halfway line for a yellow card with about 5 minutes to go.

Absolutely fantastic win. Took our chances and defended really well other than for the goals. They barely forced Forster into a save after we scored the third which shows how well we battled considering the quality they have going forwards.

Maybe because some people are so freaked out by the media reporting on covid that they think they are going to end up in hospital anyway so might as well get ahead of the game?

Saw my brother in law yesterday who is an A&E consultant. As reported elsewhere he said pretty much everyone in ICU is unvaccinated. Loads of people show up at A&E with positive covid tests but no significant symptoms so get sent away. The turnover from admission to release is so much quicker than it was due to vaccinations. He's very much in the "Omicron is extremely mild for the overwhelming majority of people" camp. He seemed quite fed up with the whole thing now and doesn't want any more restrictions.

Which 90s band are you regretting the last 25-30 years over?

That will be awesome. You know they are playing Roundhouse in London next year too? -
That is utterly ridiculous. What about people who are in abusive relationships, or have chaotic home lives, no room to work at home or just have shit WiFi? I've given everyone the choice. Most people are ok at home but a few like coming into the office a couple of days a week, seeing other people, having face to face interaction etc. There's plenty of room so no one is rammed in. I was there today and it was a nice atmosphere.

Yeah. I worked in a co-op for a while during what you could categorise as "peak onesie era" and would it wasn't uncommon to see people wearing them, dressing gowns, slippers etc on weekend mornings.

He was never going to impose any restrictions before Xmas. Hopefully by next week there will be more evidence that Omicron is rarely anything but a mild inconvenience for vaccinated or younger people and we can crack on with going to football and gigs in the new year.

There's a guy near us who I call Mr Shorts because he always has them on. Drops his kids at school and walks the dog across the country park in shorts even at sub zero temperatures. He always walks the dog with Mrs Yellow Coat who is the parent to other kids at the school. Obviously I've decided they are having an affair solely based on the fact they walk dogs together. There's another dad who used to turn up in the depths of winter in suitable body clothing while wearing flip flops. What a prick.

Dibling already signed one. I would imagine Morgan has been offered one like my son's friend has been. We're just waiting for the club to announce the list which I guess will happen when they have all actually signed.

Deaths still going down which is the most important thing. Patients in hospital is flat, and even 10% below what they were a month ago. Same with the number of people in ICU.

Totally agree with badger. Chris Silverwood seems like a bit of a shit coach and our test team has been largely crap under him. Got absolutely battered in India last winter, lost away to New Zealand, lost at home to India albeit they ran off from the last game and now embarrassed in Australia.

91k positives today, still not hit the 100k mark. Maybe tomorrow?

White ball cricket has probably also taken away the winter games our players used to play for state sides in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. All their players have some exposure to our county cricket yet I don't think any of ours go and play out there now. It's all well and good being able to wallop a ball 100 metres in 20/20 but that technique counts for pretty much nothing in test cricket. Bowling wise we are still ok in tests. Batting is horrific outside of about 3 players.

Brazil, MLS, loads of Asia, Ireland, Scandinavia. Sure there's a thing where Scandinavian teams have to play European games during their break.
-
Presumably the calendar year records are a thing because not all countries play their seasons at the same time? A lot of leagues play all their fixtures in the same calendar year rather than across 2 as is common in Europe.

Love the way that link suggests we are looking at a player worth £198m. Signing Henderson would be incredible. Really can't see it unfortunately.

Can we get one of the cricket team to go down with covid now and get the rest of the game called off? It's our only hope.

Kids just need a negative LFT. You can give your ticket to someone else. The only way that would be an issue is if they were checking names on tickets against names on covid passes and there's no way they are doing that for 30000 people or we'd be told to get there an hour or more before kick off.
