I reckon they did look at it. He was down for ages after the goal getting treatment and loads of players were giving the ref their opinion about what happened, pointing at Lyanco laying on the floor etc.

Agree with this although he should have scored the header. Incidentally it came from a delicious cross, the best we put in all game. Strangely the player who made it was Bednarek.

Oh yeah he doesn't score enough at all. Never has really. I'm fine with him in the squad though. It's just a shame that despite having a lot of options we only really have 1 proper decent number 10 in Armstrong and he's barely played recently. We really need another player in that position who can create and score a reasonable amount per season.

He's been good the past month or so. Not so sure he suits the second striker role though. He's far better as a number 10.

I've been there before a few times but today we parked in a different place outside the ring road and it's an utter shithole. It's also a pain to get to, that A road that comes off the M5 goes on forever and has about 300 traffic lights. As for the game I thought we did ok, should have scored more than 1 and it would have been delicious if Perraud had put his header about 3cm lower at the end. I thought Tella should have been hooked at half time. I was surprised KWP didn't play from the start to be honest as Tella was ineffective throughout and massively contributed to their first goal with a naive piece of play. Wolves are well organised, very solid at the back and break well. They also have far more expensive players than us. Saying that we created as many clear cut chances as them though so in that respect we did a good job. The second goal was pathetic. What the fuck Forster was doing I have no idea. Was worth the trip to be in the ground to see the best free kick we'll ever see.

Nope. Still so much more to come from the project. If it goes another 3 or 4x I'll take out 20%.

Yeah, was a mad day. Not balls deep but I'm more than happy with what I have. I'm more than 25x up on what I put in. I know of a couple of people who went in hard when it was really cheap and are nearly millionaires now from it. A bit of a price correction the last day which is to be expected but still loads of room for growth too

I turned the radio on halfway through an interview on World Service the other day with an English chap who was playing for Sierra Leone. Spent the next few minutes wondering who the hell it was until they said his name at the end. That's a pretty incredible result for them against the reigning champions. Seems like he's sorted himself out now after a lot of personal issues, so fair play to him

I'd be more than happy with a draw. They seem to be one of the teams we have really struggled against in the past few seasons. Are you on the train? We're driving but it's too cold for an A34 stop at our favorite place this time.

This is something I'm really looking forward to. I don't think we'll play that formation every game so there's still a place for KWP, especially as the workrate required for full backs or wing backs in our system is so high that injuries are inevitable.

I wasn't annoyed. Happy for people to sing, just do something original. We moan about people nicking out song, for example last night we were singing "we are Southampton we song our own song" before then stealing one from someone else! There's all the music in history to chose a tune from!

That's so standard now. Also see "how shit must you be we're winning away." Something that's crept in more and more the past few seasons is the nearly automatic "who are ya?" chant which comes straight after a goal. Sing the players name? Nah, shout that to the opposition fans no matter who they are. All teams seem to do it now and should stop. Quite glad the Stuart, Adam Armstrong No Limits chant didn't fully catch on although I expect it will.

Nice touch for them to give Sue Lopez the latest Forever Saints award at half time. Pity the tannoy was playing up and we couldn't really hear the tributes to her that well. As they said in the bits I could hear, she was an absolute trailblazer for women's football and Southampton in particular. Thoroughly deserved.

Was quite amusing that they announced Pompey had lost in the EFL cup over the tannoy tonight. Got a big cheer obviously!

Burnley are surely screwed without Woods? Selling their main striker in their position must mean relegation follows.

Redmond and Tella both sat down injured before going off tonight. Wonder if either of them will be a doubt for Saturday?

Some excellent individual performances tonight but Ward Prowse was unreal. Just never stopped. We coasted that game when we should have been tired after the weekend. A really great, enjoyable performance. Good atmosphere in the ground as well. Looking forward to Wolves on Saturday

I agree. Would be a pointless signing. He's not as good as either of our current RB's. We can spend that money better on other positions.
