I like those videos. They remind me of the old World Cup films they used to make.

Doesn't he also have it in his locker to take us on a great run? It was previously more than a few good games, it was a lot of good games. We also have a better squad now, so chances of us going dogshit again are slimmer because a load of injuries or suspensions won't hurt the team as bad. I'd be gutted if he left, don't get me wrong I'm not super fan but I do like him and it's notoriously tricky appointing a good new manager. Look how many other teams fuck that up on a regular basis.

Both good news for us as it gives them a rest and also means they can be around at some point during the international break to work on tactics etc for the Norwich game.
-
Yeah. The game at the weekend was a cup match but still good to get a positive result against them.

He's alright, just overrated by the media. He didn't have any involvement in the third goal, I just mentioned him by first name as a nod to Ducky getting annoyed with Carragher calling him by his first name further up the thread.

And another. Awful defending from Trent and his mates. Remember when we kept a clean sheet against West Ham not long ago?

Does she live in Southampton and how much does she charge?
-
Haha, 2-1 West Ham. A bit crap from the best keeper to ever play the game or whatever their fans call him.
-
My mate calls him TAA which is even worse. Do you ever refer to Hasenhüttl as Ralph?

I wish we'd got David Moyes when he was shit, sacked him and then reappointed him. Maybe all we need is Mark Hughes back and we'd be fighting for the title.

Will be my first away game of the season. Really looking forward to it.

Go back to the time we had Delap for evidence of that. Didn't we only ever score 1 goal from his throws? On the flip side Dave Challinor used to get Tranmere quite a few. I was at Fratton in the away end when he launched one from near the halfway line to get Tranmere a completely undeserved last minute winner.

They're not even that long. No idea why we are bothering with them.

He must just be trolling as it was quite clearly a big attendance. There were some empty seats around but not loads by any means.

U16's beat Villa 2-1 today so that's all age groups that won against them this weekend.

Ballard scored again, and 2 for Dibling. Both of them are definitely names to keep an eye on.

2 good performances in one game. First half was lovely to watch, great passing and movement. Some gorgeous little moves, cutting through the midfield with ease. Second half Villa obviously got a rocket at half time and pushed the full backs much higher up. We were clinging on a bit until the first sub but then the 3 at the back which allowed our fullbacks to push theirs back a bit. For all their huff and puff in the second half Villa barely had a shot on target and I thought we dug in and defended pretty well. Midfield was solid, Romeu and Ward Prowse won a lot of battles and kept them at bay despite being outnumbered in there because of the formation change. Could all have been a lot easier if we'd grabbed the second goal or of the ref had some balls and sent El Ghazi off. Martinez produced 2 excellent saves, he's such a great keeper. The height he gets on his jumps is obscene and the save from Adams header was truly top class. Livramento looked knackered after about 60 minutes and the feeling I got in the stadium was that he was nursing a niggle throughout the last 30 minutes. Brilliant to see us win again and keep another clean sheet. The team dug in, did the ugly stuff well and got us over the line. After all the covid shit I can't really express how amazing it is to be back at games with the kids, seeing mates in the stadium and watching us pick up points.

Can't be true. I thought the Academy was a total shambles and everyone involved needs sacking or something? Anyway, we're now pushing for the playoffs. Amazing what happens when we get a load of injured players back.

You'd think so, but if they are realistic they have to think of what might happen if they go down.

Nice to see Fur getting in on the predict a score thing with Lawro. One of them is a big Saints fan. Premier League predictions: Lawro v Murray & Tav from indie band FUR - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59113402

Maybe the board have looked at it and thought he'd be a good manager to get them back in the top flight if they get relegated.

I didn't know Victor Moses was playing in Russia until I started watching this game at half time.
