Just fixed that post.

Is there a law that whenever Steven Davis is mentioned the word "underrated" must appear in the same sentence? It's a close call for me but I'll give it to Clyne. He just gets my vote ahead of Alderweireld because of the goals he's scored - and that one at Arsenal was something special.
-
Yes he's OK, enjoying taking it easy. They had a reasonable lottery win (nothing life changing but enough to comfortably pay the bills forever) a few years back. He goes to the odd Saints game when his son gets him a ticket.

Pilgrim House has gone downhill lately in my opinion. The best Chinese in town now is Fortune on the corner of Oxford Street. Anyone liking something different should check out Nepalese restaurant called Everest which is where POSH used to be. The food is absolutely beautiful at very decent prices. The best chippy used to be in St James' Road but it went to pot when my mate's dad sold it a few years back.

Oxlade-Chamberlain scored 2 in one game from a similar position to Mane and he was younger than Tim's new girlfriend at the time.

They always stop for Northern games. In fact the official coaches stop for longer than unofficial ones whose aim seems to be in getting fans to the ground in time for a few beers.

The Isle of Wight. What else is there for teenagers to do?

I left school at 18. Memory is somewhat hazy but I'm pretty sure we were all f*cking before then.
-
Just sending the club a tweet asking if they can hook me up with a free Bovril voucher and a bunch of flowers for Tim's sister.

I totally agree with the incorrect yellow cards point. Like you I can't see many ex-Premier League players bothering to become refs, but what about lower league players? For example there's plenty of league 1 & 2 players who have to retire early through injury. Then you have people that play semi-pro in non league. The FA could go to the hundreds of clubs at that level and offer to put people through the referee course while they are playing with a view to them becoming full time refs later on. The way the FA deal with the whole situation is bizarre. It's almost like they don't care about the standards of officials.
-
Fair play to you. I sometimes watch blokes playing up the Rec in Hamble when I'm at the park with my kids. I hear a lot of abuse shouted at the officials, a lot of which is in language that small children don't need to be hearing while playing their own game 100 yards away. We need more rugby like rules around respect. Anyone other than the player involved or the captain that argues with the ref is booked. Anyone swearing at the ref is sent off automatically. People will soon stop doing it.

It's times like that when I want us to score so people go mental and their ipads accidently get knocked on the floor, stamped on and smashed into tiny, tiny pieces. It's nothing less than the cretins deserve.
-
Why would anyone want to be a ref? Years of flogging yourself around park fields and the depths of non league while getting abused by meatheads is hardly a career path many want to follow on the off chance they might make the elite group where they can get paid a reasonable salary while having the media spotlight shining firmly on their every move while thousands of people call them a **** every week. Ex-players being fast tracked into the job is one possibility. Ref's would also be helped by more retrospective action. The amount of diving would surely go down if there was a chance of a 3 match ban and should mean less cheating to deal with on the pitch.

Wanyama is a donkey Hope someone breaks Wanyama's legs soon Is Wanyama even a footballer, looks like a stockier version of that **** Tiote.
-
Another Big Vic quote from an Arsenal fan, this just after he'd "mown down Sanchez" and "should of been off for the assassin's challenge" Wanyama needs to pick up boxing, that clown's not a ******* footballer
-
Just browsing an Arsenal forum. Found this pre-match comment from one of them: I think without Schneiderlinn they're vulnerable, Wanyama is nothing without him

Good news. Another right decision from Les Reed who is on course be considered as the greatest Director of Football* the world has ever known. If the man isn't honoured by the Queen in the next few years it will be utterly unjust. *or whatever his sodding job title is

Stone Island scarf man won't be popular on here with his view that people who spend 2-3 grand a season following the team home and way are more entitled to an opinion than those who sit behind a keyboard watching the games.

He's entirely right. The reason I often come away from a game without remembering much of his defensive work shows how few mistakes or last ditch tackles he has to make. This is due to his almost faultless positioning and reading of the game. Throughballs are intercepted with ease, players are pushed into areas they don't want to be in and simple passes are made with a minumum of fuss and rarely go astray. Therefore he has no need to make as many last ditch tackles or blocks as other defenders because it rarely gets to that point. His eye catching moments come with his sublime range of passing, or his calmness in covering others when a player does break the defensive line. Signing him permanently would be nothing short of an incredible piece of business.

Pelle should play. We were awful up front without him against Sheff Utd. I'd imagine Targett will play after Koeman's comments about him. Reed and Schneiderlin in midfield is a good move. I'd play Ward Prowse with them to give Davis a rest and Tadic, Pelle and Long as the front 3.

I sit in the row behind the barrier at the top of the stairs, directly behind the bloke with the white hat. From my excellent vantage point I can exclusively report for Saintsweb that I saw nothing at all.
