Or Tosscack, which is twice as funny.

I really hope we appoint Toshack just so Alpine can call him Toshcack.

I found the best method was to encourage my kids to be friends with the other kids who had the fittest mums. Most of them were so far out of my league it was never awkward. At least not until they'd caught me slyly eyeing them up.

I look after mine. Was made redundant when my partner was pregnant with our first child. We didn't want to put them into nursery or anything so I stayed at home and got a part time evening job. Now they are both at school I work 9-3 and do the school run. My partner is a teacher so school holidays are no problem. It's amazing to be able to spend so much time with them. Even when they were being annoying and driving me nuts I'd think about how much better it was to be with them rather than sat in an office doing a job I didn't particularly care for. When my first son was small none of our friends had kids so I'd take him to toddler groups etc and get a few weird looks and comments from the cliquey mum's, some of who liked to tell me how I should be bringing up my own children despite the fact a lot of theirs were more badly behaved. I wouldn't have changed it for anything and count myself very lucky.

I had that too. Can't see it being a scam, just a sensible request so tickets don't go to the wrong address.

Probably this lot trying to hit some targets http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/03062014-southampton-fc-green-4-solutions-partnership-1597547.aspx

That Moyes quote screams "I'm going to Celtic". What other Champions League team would appoint him?

Chambers v Shaw - am I deluding myself...
The Cat replied to Legod Second Coming's topic in The Saints
Chambers will become the complete footballer and end up with 60+ England caps while Shaw will get over 100. -
Lidl often do random Shepherd Neame ales for £1 a bottle, most of them being beers I've never heard of and never see again once they've gone. The best place to drink Spitfire is sat in the sun at Canterbury while watching Kent play cricket.

Interesting stuff. As always thank you for the info. Most appreciated.
-
I have heard the same. And not from Facebook, because I'm not on it. He's been at St Mary's too.
-
Amazing memories. Anyone manage to be there for all his goals? Quickly adding up as I watched it I reckon I saw around 95 of them.

Will Saints ever be a "bigger fish in the sea"?
The Cat replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Strangely this is what a lot of people are still struggling to understand. There may be the odd team who has a freak season and a decent run at finishing 4th like Newcastle did, but this is becoming more and more unlikely as the top clubs hoover up the best players at will. It's a sad state of affairs and can't be rectified until the FA and Premier League grow a set of balls which they won't because it's not in their interest. -
There's plenty of good craft beers in America now, many of them much nicer than Spitfire which is ok but nothing special. They are probably stating it's Britian's number 1 beer because Shephard Neame is the countries oldest brewer. I'm guessing it sells quite well because it's often on offer at a £1 a bottle in supermarkets. This article on American beer is a bit old but still relevant. http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/wordofmouth/2011/jun/24/american-craft-beer-hippest-hops

If you can afford to renew then do. If you can't then don't. It's quite simple really.
-
The only way to build on it would be to double or treble some players wages and commit to unsustainable spending in a bid to match their ambitions. Quite sensibly the club aren't prepared to do that. If we lobbed tens and tens of millions at transfer fees and wages we could eventually end up in the **** like our neighbours 16 miles to the East.
-
I agree. My point was that Dalek is normally anything but positive. Glad to see him treating this in a sensible way.
-
Dead right. To suggest he singlehandedly dragged us up through the leagues is laughable unless you happen agree with Poyet's assertion that the rest of our side was only as good as Dagenham & Redbridge.
-
The most distressing thing about this transfer is that I'll now have to like Liverpool a bit. Only a bit, mind.
-
I'm finding Dalek's optimism rather disconcerting.
-
The only way to keep them would be to double or treble their wages and promise to spend £30 million+ in the summer. That's not substainable.
-
To be fair he does seem to love the club, but then he should do - together we've achieved so much, more than he'd have dreamed. But then put yourself in his shoes. I know I'd do the same.
-
At which time he would never have imagined Liverpool making a bid for him.
-
Lamb Shop is a horrible headline. 1/10 for the bored sub editor who came up with that one.
-
Exactly. And in 10, 20, 50+ years time Southampton FC will still exist. Admire the players, worship them even. But love the club and be proud that it's part of your identity.
