  1. That's the one.
  2. If you are thinking of getting one then grab a Rega or Pro-Ject. Around £200 will get you something decent that you'll be in no rush to upgrade. But yeah, vinyl can become quite addictive. Have to say I listen to far more of it at home than cds which are now pretty much only used in the car. There's just something so right about the size of them, the artwork and the sound.
  3. I used to travel up to Berwick Street record shopping quite often about 10-15 years ago. A few of them have closed now though, and the rising price of vinyl has put a stop to any chance of finding random gems for next to nothing in London. I still love Sister Ray, quality shop.
  4. Take your positive bits of information elsewhere please. This is Saintsweb, home of the permanently paranoid.
  5. Eweleaze only have tents or camper vans. Any site without weird caravanners is always a bonus. Prices below: Adults £7.50/night Sunday to Thursday nights, and £15/night for Friday and Saturday nights (and Sunday of the bank holiday weekend) Children, 3-14 inclusive £3.75/night Sunday to Thursday nights, and £7.50/night for Friday and Saturday nights (and Sunday of the bank holiday weekend) Vehicles Flat fee of £10 for each vehicle brought onto site for the stay No charge for: Infants under 3, pets, extra tents, gazebos etc etc
  6. It's always worth checking out online shops for new releases. My favourites are Piccadilly Records and Boomkat. Both are based in Manchester. If I lived there I'd never be out of the places. They have sound clips of most releases on their sites, unlike Rough Trade which I also find more expensive anyway. Boomkat is great for all dance genres, weird limited vinyl releases and stuff you just don't hear anywhere else. Piccadilly covers a wider base and has excellent reviews. http://boomkat.com/ http://www.piccadillyrecords.com/counter/index.php
  7. It's a question Private Eye ask. Not sure Farage has ever given an answer to it.
  8. Excellent news. Congratulations to him.
  9. Farage left private school for a "proper job" as a commodities trader rather than go to Oxbridge. Now he has his "snout in the trough" as an MEP. Such a massive difference.
  10. Eweleaze is quality, we've been the past 5 years. Has it's own private bay, a shop selling alcohol, food cooked on site, campfires allowed. Camp where you want and there's loads of space - they don't crowd the fields at all. Best to book ahead as it does sell out.
  11. Not quite sure how beating them in a meaningless end of season game could ever be considered payback for relegation? Not that it was really them that sent us down, we pretty much did that to ourselves with pitiful managerial appointments and awful signings.
  12. Batman. He would definitely need some sort of zip in his costume as otherwise the only crimes he'd be fighting would be the ones in his pants.
  13. As much as I'd like to see a Saints reserve team give Pompey the run around I'm not in favour of the idea. I can see some merit in a regionalised League 2/Conference but definitely don't want B teams involved.
  14. "Mauricio made it clear. I bought it to the fore last week that as soon as that games out of the way on Sunday we will sit down and continue our discussions that we've been having. So it's not like we've been doing nothing about it, but we respected the fact that he wanted to focus on, he actually wanted to achieve these record points and focus on the games and nothing else" "This is one of the issues of being successful. It's not just Mauricio it's other coaches at the club, young players, players nowhere near the first team yet. Everyone's attracting attention. They want to know how we do it and can it rub off on them....We have to carry on what we're doing and not worry about it" "There are no deals done, there are no deals being discussed. Absolutely nothing, I can clearly say that. I'm not saying it's not going to happen, but at the moment nothing's been discussed"
  15. Just stated again that no deals have been done. No discussions have taken place with any other clubs. Talks have been had with Pochettino and will continue after the season finished because Pochettino wanted to concentrate on remaining games first.
  16. Exactly. Paul Telfer, Neil McCann and to some extent Matt Oakley and Anders Svensson were all boo boys for the idiots. It's not racism, just stupidity.
  17. Yep, Fargo has been superb so far.
  18. The new Gruff Rhys album is all types of good. Anyone into blues could do worse than getting a copy of the reissued London Sessions by Howlin' Wolf. He has one heck of a backing band on it despite Clapton's presence. The Millie & Andrea album has been satisfying my liking for dark, moody beats. Thee Oh Sees new record is a cracker and I really like what I've heard from the new Parquet Courts album.
  19. That was the first game I took my son to. Consequently for ages he would tell everyone that Guly was our best player and he still loves him now. As said above I hope he gets a decent run out next weekend and some farewell chants during the lap of appreciation. He has never deserved the abuse he's got from the small minded sheep brigade.
  20. Apparently 50 tickets were on sale yesterday due to being returned (probably complimentary tickets not used by players, staff etc) not sure about the other 50.
  21. I wasn't really concentrating on the game. Good day out, enjoyed drinking in a home fans only pub which at one point had a totally random minute's silence which seemed to confused everyone. The queues for the free food were nuts! Still mentally scarred from sitting through a Keith Lemon dvd boxset on the unofficial bingo bus. Can't quite think why anyone imagined that to be a good idea.
  22. I saw him in the ground, he didn't seem to have 40 scarves, although the size of his gut suggests he could have been hiding half that many under his shirt.
  23. Someone had taken the scarf off my seat. Wouldn't have bothered me that much if it wasn't for the fact I'd told my kids about them and they wanted it. Luckily a kind couple gave me theirs so now the kids have one each. Someone also stole the Luke Shaw mask that I'd put by my seat. Bit weird Saints fans stealing from other Saints fans, not really in the spirit of the day. Guly masks were at a huge premium yesterday, most people seemed to want one.
  24. That was funny. It looked like he just couldn't be bothered.
