  1. Their number 10 was a good player. Nice touch, good passer, had something about him. Sholing were just too strong for them in the end, took control of the midfield and the 2 quick goals killed the game. Be interesting to see how they do next season up in the Southern Prem. Some teams in there with half decent budgets and bigger fanbases.
  2. 2-0 Sholing. Was quite weird seeing a striker in red and white bring the ball down on the edge of the box, turn the CB and fire the ball into the corner.
  3. Must be a massive game, Onion's wearing a shirt and tie.
  4. There's so many people at the Sholing play off final that they have delayed kick off by 10 minutes. Hamworthy supporters singing "you're only here because Saints are crap" which is a bit weird because Saints played yesterday.
  5. Overall it's cheaper for away tickets. Most clubs do categories for games, I had a look and the most expensive Cat A game this season was QPR at £36. Generally it's around £30 but some are quite a bit under that, for example Cardiff was £21. It obviously depends on the category we come under for each game though. Clubs also seem to do deals in the Championship. The other good thing is cheaper concession tickets, so for those of us with U18's it won't be £20 for their tickets like it is in the Premier League.
  6. Taking the positives out of that we overperformed on our xG by 0.11
  7. Pretty sure that anyone who goes all the way to Newcastle for a game we were going to inevitably lose won't be part of the cleanse you are talking about.
  8. I'm not sure I'll bother going to the Liverpool game. If it sells out might stick my tickets on the exchange and put the credit towards my season tickets.
  9. Need to keep piling forward second half to improve our goal difference. Won't be happy with anything less than 4-0.
  10. I was told before the Bournemouth game that he's not staying as manager next season.
  11. Ipswich 6 up now. Plenty of time left. Double figures on the cards?
  12. Ipswich securing promotion by walloping Exeter. Had some good away games there before. Smashing them at the start of the Championship season was a great day out and the game with Marsden's goal will always be a memorable one.
  13. You have to consider that a reasonable number of the population are thick as shit. Some of them like football, and some of them support Saints. He's a decent player who has consistently performed well each season throughout his career at Saints and been a mainstay of the team since we returned to the Premier League. Unfortunately he has inevitably been dragged down by the clusterfuck of incompetence around him this season. It will be a bit weird next season watching us play without him.
  14. Huddersfield v Reading last game of the season could be winner stays up unless Huddersfield get a few points from their next 2 games.
  15. Would be hilarious if Brighton and Villa finish 5th and 6th and knock one of Spurs or Liverpool out of European football next season and the other into the Conference League.
  16. Agreed. A great achievement, especially as the team is largely filled with players from younger age groups. For example the Norwich team we beat 5-2 in our last game was made up of 19-21 year old players while ours (apart from Ollie Lancashire) were 16-18. Hopefully we'll see some of them breaking through into the first team next season and develop into regular pro players.
  17. Meghoma is the left back, one of the two that came from Spurs. He's only 16. Has played England youth games.
  18. Have heard there is money to spend when we go down regardless of which players leave. How we spend it is another matter, but if true we can't fault them for not putting money in.
  19. The bench has a lot of attacking players on it. Imagine we're 2-1 down with 10 go and end up with 8 forward players on the pitch.
  20. What were Sunderland on when they seemed to win every game at the end of the season to stay up? I'm not saying we will but they went on a crazy run and did it from a seemingly impossible position.
  21. Sholing v Hamworthy play off final on Monday at 3pm. Hugely looking forward to this.
  22. Ramsdale having another poor start to a game.
  23. They've only lost once this year. An incredible run of form.
  24. Him and Gazziniga. Mad that Castellanos scored all 4 goals for them.
  25. Interesting. Is it a bigger brewery?
