Yesterday's issue of Popbitch made for interesting reading.

Good luck, hope the takeover goes well. Some of the CAMRA lot do seem a bit strange. I really should make the effort to pop in to Butcher's Hook, I'm just never really in Bitterne Triangle.

A bit late back to this but after speaking to other people I wonder if we can expect to see the new Unity beer served in the Social, The Loft, Heartbreakers, Xoxo and Papillon in future?
-
Anyone going to the beer festival at St Mary's this weekend? Might pop down tomorrow and spend the evening complaining about the beer normally served in the stadium.

It's his nephew Tyler who plays for the U18's, just going into second year scholarship. Tyler is mates with my son, they went to the same school and played for Sholing together before Tyler got picked up by Saints at the start of their U14 season. Lewie fought on the undercard of the Billam-Smith bill at the Vitality Stadium last weekend winning his 8th fight out of 8. Very early days to talk about world title fights, but will be interesting to see how he progresses.

It's football internet. People jump to conclusions about the slightest thing even when they have absolutely zero knowledge of what's going on in the background. Your posts seem too sensible to be on here. Can't you come along and just slag Saints off for something or the other instead? You'd fit in perfectly with the majority of other posters then.

Will season ticket prices be released now and will you renew?
The Cat replied to Paul Chuckle's topic in The Saints
Real fans would have gone down the stadium at 9am on the day season tickets were released and queued up at the ticket office to renew. -
Weird. I play games, not FM at the moment but have in the past. I go out to loads of gigs and football matches. You can do both. In fact a lot of people I know who don't play games sit in and watch TV every night which is no different and in my mind far more dull.

Jake Hesketh has signed for Sholing which is incredible for them.

Deluded, give your head a wobble, arrogant, and something else that you'll be accused of by Alex Law.
-
Back to the old Cortese classic of waiting until 11pm after the Echo goes to print so the announcement doesn't make it into tomorrow's largely unread paper.
-
We could, although it's not going to help us squeeze maximum fee out of another club if we come out and say he's a complete prick who has been refusing to play, or has failed a drugs test which has been covered up or had a curse put on him by a Nigerian witch doctor. The time to carefully leak the truth is once he's left.

Away fans get a whole end by the looks of it, around 2500.
-
Also Murphy's goal shouldn't have been on the list because while Isak's run was incredible the cross took a deflection which invalidates the whole thing in my eyes as a purist. Plus it was scored by Murphy who is a cock.
-
I thought it was a poor bunch of goals in the shortlist. There were no good team goals, it was mostly long rangers which are good but you see a lot of them. Sulemana's goal was decent although it benefited from some weird defending from Gomez.

Rotherham have a new ground since we last played there so that's one to tick off. I've also never been to Preston. Quite a lot of travelling involved for the fans who go to every game, around half are over 3 hours drive in a car or about 17 hours if you go on the bingo bus.

Incredible save by Harry Isted in the League 1 play off final
-
-
It looked like ours could be similar a couple of months ago but us, Leeds and Leicester were absolutely crap and let the others claw their way out of it.
-
I know Bet365 sometimes have tight odds but 5/1 for a 4-4 draw is incredible!
-
From my angle it looked like he pulled off a great save near the end. Kelleher didn't exactly cover himself in glory today either. Really should have saved the second although he did make a good save late on too. Hopefully we can get rid of McCarthy although that might not be so easy. Wouldn't really want him playing much next season especially if we're passing out from the back.

Thought I'd pop on the the Leicester forum to see how they are taking relegation and see that their fans fighting were with each other after the game. https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/topic/132044-fighting-amongst-your-own-fans/

Your "gut feelings" are generally wider of the mark than a Saints strikers shots. It's blindingly obvious that the substitution was so he could get an ovation. In fact it couldn't have been more obvious unless he walked off while removing his Saints shirt to reveal a Newcastle one underneath before singing Fog on the Tyne with Gazza on the pitch after the game while a plane flew over trailing a banner behind reading "thanks JWP, good luck for the rest of your career from all at Saints FC"
-
There were also a crap load of people stood up applauding Firminho off, some of which bizarrely were Saints fans. Stewards did chuck a few Liverpool fans out from near us though so at least they were vaguely doing something about it.
-
I imagine some people wanted to clap the players who are leaving and thank them for their contribution over their time at the club. For example Ward Prowse, Walker Peters and Lavia all deserve applause. Others don't deserve any applause, but it it's hard to signal who you are clapping for while doing it.
