  1. Maybe he did, but then he could negotiate the signing of Mbappe on a 10 year deal for £500 a week and people would still hate him.
  2. Portsmouth away because it will be fun or Forest Green away for the new ground.
  3. Seems like the club have got their man and not paid the full compensation, so well done to whoever negotiated that.
  4. I'm going for 10 minutes after this post.
  5. There has to be something else going on as all the backroom staff left too. Maybe he has another job lined up.
  6. He knows it's photoshopped which is why he put the egg timer next to Martin's name and then added "come on" underneath. If there was a Twitter thread adding screenshots of shit posts on here they'd have just as much, if not more, evidence to use.
  7. Time for my annual "it's alright but I don't particularly care what the kit looks like and will never buy one because I'm over the age of 12" post. Both my kids like it.
  8. Edited like 3 times because I'm rubbish and for some reason it wanted me to add a gif.
  9. The Man Utd fan with the Hillsborough shirt on at the Cup Final got a £1k fine. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-65951045 His argument was that his Grandad died aged 97 and didn't have enough kids. Convincing!
  10. Pulled out a cracking save at the start of the Ireland v Greece game the other day and was Man of the Match.
  11. Having checked it's a 1 day 9 hour drive, however there is an accident on the motorway just outside of Sofia which may cut the duration down. We'd obviously have to factor in time spent stopping for ice cream though.
  12. The main way the weather could improve is to stop being so fucking hot!
  13. One of my favourite forum things is when someone posts a link to an article they've misread or misunderstood, accompanied by some text in the post which isn't actually in the article. This is sometimes followed by comments from people who haven't been arsed to read the actual article but have decided to take the posters summary as true and then argue a point based on it.
  14. Pitch being sorted, new screens up too.
  15. What the fuck is going on here?
  16. I knew Lambert had some opinions pretty similar to Le Tiss, but he appears to have got himself involved with an absolute lunatic on social media who just seems to make stuff up with numbers to justify some sort of nonsense or other.
  17. I bought a Tap It beer in that posh Indian down the bottom of town a month or so ago so I presume they are still going. Used to get takeouts from them before COVID but then they seemed to shut the tap room.
  18. You do surely realise that every club has people in this type of role? Even lower league teams have them. It's not the role that's the problem it's when you have the wrong people in them or a poor structure around it. You know when we were good under Koeman and Pochettino? We had data scientists then. I take it you've noticed Brighton's success? They have a load of people working in that area. But obviously they are wrong to have nerds in front of computers. Should get rid of them and just tell players to run a bit more and have a shot sometimes.
  19. Some kind of celebration of it as a top place for dogging?
  20. Leeds away was under Selles, game after we beat Chelsea but the same applies. However, the game after we beat Man City was Everton away which we also won.
  21. There's much to dislike about the top level of football, but that's only a tiny percentage of the matches that happen up and down the country each week. Football as a sport is absolutely wonderful and creates joy for so many people from kids in the park to old guys still hacking around the lower levels of local Sunday leagues. For those who are falling out of love with it I would suggest going to watch some local non league games. There's no less effort on the pitch (probably more in many cases) some great games and a real community feel. I can understand falling out of love with the game at the top level, but falling out of love with football as a whole I just don't get.
  22. Hopefully TNT will do it better when they take over from BT.
  23. Did he actually do that intentionally? Did he state that he was the voice of all the fans? He was speaking for the Saints Trust back then, not for everyone. The reason he was continually being interviewed was because was one of the only known fans to the media at the time because of the fact he put himself up as the spokesman for Saints Trust, plus his links with SISA and the UI and therefore the one they went to for quotes when the club was in turmoil. There was plenty of opportunity for other fans to start a supporters group then and get their voice heard if they had wanted to.
