  1. The first point above is like winning the least scabby woman in Paulsgrove contest and the second is patently untrue unless defending means occasionally getting in the way of a shot and then fist pumping towards the crowd.
  2. If he was a football turned rapper that implies he has given up the football career, although maybe joining us means he has.
  3. Just got home and stuck it on. The utterly boring Manics on one channel while the incredible Ezra Collective are smashing it on the red button. Wunderhorse were amazing earlier according to people I know on site. I imagine they are the sort of band some on here will like.
  4. This thread's been going 3 days. Can't believe you made us wait that long for this post.
  5. I wish they'd show more of the smaller stages. There's a whole bunch of incredible bands on across the site that don't get a look in on the TV or radio coverage which is a pity.
  6. He's been ill, had to cancel Dublin gig to make sure they could play last night. Definitely wasn't at 100%. Rumours were they had planned to play a lot more old songs but reverted back to main tour set because not enough time to practice stuff they haven't played for a while.
  7. Is a fine set. It's great to see bands who can change style and stay at the top for so long, much like Radiohead. Always find Glastonbury crowds weird. Not sure how there's no mosh pits for some of these songs.
  8. I'm guessing they haven't filmed it yet, or if they have it's still being edited and wrapped for media release. The original article was likely something knocked out as soon as they could because they knew everyone had been waiting ages for the announcement.
  9. I'd never knowingly heard Carly Rae Jepson before and have no desire to do so again. Young Fathers on the other hand are on great form. Looking forward to seeing them later this summer.
  10. Anyone want to own up to this? https://www.hampshirelive.news/news/hampshire-news/naked-man-spotted-across-southampton-8547182
  11. There was a big Saints one last year front and centre of the main stage on occasions.
  12. Yes, has an incredible voice. I'm watching Joey Bada$$ on the red button. He likes to use the word motherfucker.
  13. Went once, 1997. Got in for free but then no one paid back then. Forgot my sleeping bag and had no wellies. It was horrendously muddy, spent most of my time wandering around in an acid haze around the stone circle chatting to randoms. At one point we got chased through the mud by some hammered scousers because my mate sold them what they thought was a dodgy pill. Barely saw any bands although I did watch Aphex Twin in the dance tent before one of the toilet cleaning trucks sprayed shit inside the tent by mistake and they shut it down. We go to a lot of festivals but I don't really feel the urge to go back.
  14. Rasmus went to Swansea to get us Russell Martin He didn't pay the compo and left the Welsh club smarting He wins game with possession He wins games left and right And we win again today we'll sing this song all night
  15. Rochester is alright, it's where people from Gillingham claim to live if they want to sound a bit posher. Nearby Chatham is by far the worst place possibly on the planet. Full of the dregs of the dregs and birthplace of the term "chav"
  16. They finished last season well after being marooned at the bottom of League 2 for a while. Ben Reeves, the ex Saints player, was there last season but left recently.
  17. Gillingham are like the Pompey of Kent. Absolute shit hole town filled with weirdos. Didn't we play there in League 1? Seem to remember it pissing down, getting soaked in the open and then hiding under the stand for a bit.
  18. Oh When the Saints Go "Martin In" Surely that's been a headline somewhere the last day or so?
  19. It's lucky Steve is so rich inflation doesn't affect him because otherwise he'd have been hiking up the annual subscription to Saintsweb and further contributing to the cost of living crisis.
  20. There were some applications with literally 1 or 2 lines in the "reasons for applying" section. It would have taken a reasonable amount of time to fill out all the education and previous work history, only for them to then just write 20 words at the end. Then I remembered most of the applicants live in Portsmouth so I was lucky they weren't all written in crayon. No one mentioned football on their application so the shortlisting will be tough. There was a hockey player and a someone who walks 4 miles a day which was about as sporty as it got. Again, it's Portsmouth so not unusual.
  21. Must be some other people on here who have to read through applications and paper sift for interviews? I'm currently wading through 133 for a role in my team and some of them are so bad they are making me cry with laughter. So far my favourite is the person whose whole application of one paragraph is based on them being able to walk to work because they currently have to get a bus which drops them off 30 minutes too early and that means they then spend "half an hour doing nothing."
  22. It's already listed for the Friday.
  23. Quite happy the 2 weekends I'm at festivals clash with long away trips. A bit annoying the first game is a Friday night.
  24. Unlike your posting history?
  25. Commonly referred to within the game as the Steve Grant derby.
