If we can't have Millwall mixing things up then Luton with their EDL lads wandering around the Premier League next season will at least make it interesting outside the stadium.
-
I imagine Everton will beat Wolves, that's exactly the game you want at this point of the season other than a match against us. Leeds grind out a point, I think Arsenal will beat Forest. That then leaves Leicester down if they lose to Newcastle, Everton safe and last day Leeds or Forest for the prize of playing at St Mary's again next season. I wish there were a couple more teams in the mix because it's far more exciting than a battle for the Champions or Europa League.

Leicester leaving themselves a lot to do now. If they lose this they'll be 2 points from safety and play Newcastle next.

11 seasons in the Premier League - Best Moments
The Cat replied to melmacian_saint's topic in The Saints
That 3-0 win at Fulham was a good one. Surprised no one has mentioned it yet. -
Warnock has left Huddersfield saying something like "I'll get another job in February when a team needs me to keep them up." He's not interested in managing full time.
-
Hopefully Brighton hold on to the win today, because then when they beat us they'll be 4 points ahead of Spurs who will then struggle to even get in the Conference League.

Nice message from Adams. Have any other players sent one? You'd think the younger players who are glued to their phones all the time could set aside a few spare minutes to put something out.
-
I imagine the away end will be quite fun so am looking forward to that part of it and a few beers.

In regards to Dragan, I have been following reports on the protests in Serbia against the Government after the 2 mass killings which happened a week or so ago. These protests have taken a wider focus now and have extended to wanting Government run TV stations shut down. I would imagine this is of great interest to Dragan with his media company being, I believe, the only non-government one in Serbia and previously reported as being in a tussle with state run TV channels for market share. Obviously this is not directly Saints related but could be of interest to some.

Haven't watched it all but what I saw was really interesting. Shows how much planning goes into different aspects of the game. He comes across well too. Seems like quite a lot of clubs in the Championship use 3 at the back, so we'll see quite a few teams line up like that next season.
-
I can't imagine any players in England doing that, not just ours. Ultra culture is huge in Italy and they weild a lot of power whereas here, even at the fan run clubs this just wouldn't happen.
-
Very possible, I guess depends who else goes down. If it's Leicester they'll likely end up with a whole bunch of televised games as there's much more of a back story associated with them than us.

Yeah, sorry, not sure where I got 17th from!

These come out on 22nd June, and the season starts on the weekend of 4th-6th August. We'll also have a Carabao Cup match the week after the first league game too. https://www.efl.com/news/2023/may/efl-key-dates-announced-ahead-of-202324-season/ Looking forward to seeing what we get and planning some away trips.

Massive overreaction to the Leeds fan having a word with Eddie Howe or a worrying incident that means we should arm stewards with batons and put snipers on stadium roofs?
-
The Athletic article claims they have a 40% wage reduction built in for relegation. Like you I've been resigned to it for so long that I felt little emotion today when it was mathematically confirmed.

Agree about us not playing to his strengths. It's maddening that we don't just chuck a load of crosses in the area for him to use his height advantage. Yes he had no support, but he should be able to pass 20 yards to a teammate especially when not under pressure. Maybe he'll come good in the Championship but he's just doesn't look like a top flight player and his lack of fitness and ability to play more than an hour is a distinct worry.
-
He was pretty bad. Didn't have much of the ball but when he did he gave it away cheaply including a couple of terrible passes that went straight out of play and one weird hoik that went straight in the air and was gobbled up by their midfield. Got on the end of one cross in the second half but headed a few yard over. Was knackered not long after half time and jeered by quite a few when he came off.

Will season ticket prices be released now and will you renew?
The Cat replied to Paul Chuckle's topic in The Saints
Will definitely be renewing. Probably move out of the Family Stand to the Kingsland/Northam corner. -
The National League play off final is a great watch. Penalties coming up unless someone grabs a late extra time winner.
-
In that case then make the effort to actually go to games yourself so you can tell the board what you think. Instead you spend all your fucking time posting utter drivel on here and sniping at other fans while tossing yourself off about Plymouth. You are an absolute helmet.

Bit much considering they've been floundering around the bottom 2 divisions for the past 10 years or whatever it is.

That was the ballboys/girls I thought? Half time relay was decent and the sprinklers made a sort of rainbow so it hasn't been a total waste of time coming.

I've seen him called a cunt on here a few times too. He's clearly been up against it, inheriting a disjointed squad low on confidence. It was a chance he couldn't turn down as he's clearly ambitious. Some of his selections seem a little strange at times but he's a young, inexperienced manager taking a first job in the hardest league in the world.
