  1. Palace fans having a ruck with each other was the most entertaining part of the first half. They were proper going for it for a while.
  2. Another game for Adam Armstrong without a goal. They way he's going he'd struggle to score in the garden against his kids.
  3. We should get him back when we get relegated. Proven record in the Championship. Would save us money as no need to carry on paying him off. Pretty obvious really.
  4. Judging by his wife's Instagram she was in Spain for a couple of weeks and then he was there at least on 27th March in Seville because there's a picture with him in. I checked to see if he had an account, which I couldn't see, but hers was the top result so had a look through recent photos, and then some older ones because she's fit.
  5. I remember watching us get a late equaliser at Palace, going back to a pub around London Bridge and watching Man Utd playing absolutely shite and meekly lose to West Brom in the late kick off. It was obvious Pompey would chuck that last game against them.
  6. Thanks

Is this actually true? Surely the Athletic are too good to run with a story whose source was from a parody twitter account?
  8. Lovely goal by Rodri. Bayern gone down the Saints route of not playing an actual striker against Man City.
  9. Thought it worthwhile having a thread where we can post about stuff that's happening in the city and surrounding area seeing as most of us either live here or used to. There's already a Southampton group on Reddit but that's largely questions from people moving to the city, others asking what the best restaurants are or posts about helicopters. Let's start with the news that some of us may be under water by 2030. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/23444608.areas-southampton-underwater-2030/ Not sure if that's more annoying than the Itchen Bridge toll going up to £1 in peak times, but neither are great news!
  10. Seems weird the club would go to the effort of kicking out a group with a 5 year old who had a Man City shirt but then let others happily sit in the home ends. Too late now but we need to properly clamp down on it. More controls on sales for teams we know will attract away fans in home ends. Proactive stewards lobbing people out as soon as they get a whiff they support the away team.
  11. Is there something in your SaintsWeb registration terms and conditions that means you have to start every post by calling other fans stupid or slagging them off? You could easily have left that first sentence out and just given your opinion. In all likelihood we won't win, I just hope we give it a proper go.
  12. Redmond scored again, nice goal.
  13. Isn't every game on iFollow or whatever it's called although it's £10 per match I think. My mate is a Boro fan and he's got some sort of chipped box or something which allows him to watch any game for free.
  14. They were advertising the buy back scheme because it sold out, maybe some of those didn't get bought. Plenty of people on holiday, so some season ticket holders would not have been there.
  15. Has Bielsa got a job yet?
  16. That's horseshit. The gap between us and clubs with unlimited funds is not the same as the one between Plymouth and Saints. Therefore it's "a more level" playing field. Not a level one, but more level. Which is what I said.
  17. If you can't see the difference between the advantage Man City have over us to the one we have over someone like Millwall then there's no hope for you. My phrase was "a more level" playing field. Which is what we'll get in the Championship.
  18. All of the points Whelk makes are appealing. I'd add in a more level playing field. There's no clubs with unlimited funds buying £100m players or spunking £500k per week on wages. This means a more reasonable chance to win every match. Going to different grounds is another bonus. There's not many in the Championship I haven't been to but it's getting pretty dull continually going to the same ones each season. Losing the Prem hangers on might mean we don't get instances where our players are booed by some fuckwits when their names are announced before kick off.
  19. Armstrong may come good next season but his confidence is low. Maybe a couple of goals early on will get that back. No one would have predicted that Tella would have scored as many as he has for Burnley. Hard to tell with Onuachu, depends who the manager is and whether they want players who can last for more than 55 minutes.
  20. Pretty much how I saw it. We did really well restricting them until the goal just before half time. I think they only had 1 shot on target before that which Bazunu saved well. We also had a couple of chances that we should have done better with but that's one of the stories of the season. Second half we had no option but to push forward more because we were behind. That opened up more space for their wider players and partially led to the second goal. Keeper was unlucky there as he pulled off a great initial save. Man City are incredible to watch. Their passing, movement and touch is unreal. Every player is on another planet to ours technically. As said in another post above it's not in the slightest bit irritating or annoying losing to a team like that, what pisses me off is the loss last week and the one to Leeds where we actually have more than a 1% chance to get something from the game.
  21. People in the stadium applauding Haaland's second goal. Approve or disapprove? It's an interesting one because when Liverpool fans clapped Le Tiss for bamboozling their defence at Anfield it looked great, but when you're nailed to the bottom of the league and desperate for points it doesn't sit as well.
  22. I will. Why wouldn't I?
  23. Pickford beaten at his near post, must be Everton fans on their forum moaning about it.
  24. When roadwork signs are left up after the works has finished. There's one still by the old Debenhams that says "road closed 23rd and 29th March".
  25. I blame the parents. Have to say my kids friends are mostly Saints fans. Any time we get a result against a bigger club I ask if they know any fans of that team and the answer is normally no, although I met a kid recently who apparently supports Saints and Man City! I remember plenty of Liverpool fans down south in the 80's and then Man Utd fans in the 90's. Some kids will just want to support a successful team to bask in the reflective glory. Probably to cover up their own insecurities or something. No doubt they'll get shit from the Saints fans they know calling them glory hunters or whatever. They have no answer to that.
