  1. Somewhere there's a big old box of unsold ones sat in an attic. Has to be one of the most cringeworthy pieces of football related merchandise anyone has tried to sell.
  2. Some goal that from Real Madrid.
  3. Don't forget to stare poignantly into the distance. Wearing a replica retro shirt also fits in, especially if it's one from our more successful times.
  4. Yes, was much different then. Fans were almost nice to others about relegation as long as they weren't a rival. I remember that Wimbledon game too, I think it was quite a big thing compared to some other relegations because people knew they were financially screwed by going down and would almost certainly go bust. Still, no gloating from our fans because why would you? Compare that to this season when every week we've had fans gleefully telling us we're going down. Even fans of other teams who have been in the Championship recently who you'd think might have a bit more class and understanding. Seems that's gone now unfortunately.
  5. If I encourage one of the kids to cry while holding it up they could be the face of relegation.
  6. I don't remember it being that good when I've been there before. Same with Newcastle and many other clubs who suddenly go on an upward curve for a while.
  7. Definitely a game for signs, almost guaranteed to get in the press for holding one up. Debating whether to go with something positive but simple like "we'll be back" or swap that out for something more negative. Potential to go double sided and switch it around during the game to cover all narratives.
  8. Was saying in the first half as they broke from their own half that we need to foul them there and take a yellow. Stops the attack straight away.
  9. Useless player. No effort and not much more in the way of ability. Can't wait to see the back of him.
  10. A good game for the xG fans.
  11. A Sunderland v Middlesbrough play off final would be interesting. Glad Millwall stayed down as it's an easy away game next season.
  12. I'm not at all, just don't like those 2 players. If you want to read some properly angry posts, there's plenty on other threads where people are calling our own players, board and manager a lot worse than a prick.
  13. 5-1 to Fulham. Leicester got one to make it 4-1 and then Vardy missed a penalty which is funny because much like Ashley Barnes he's a complete prick.
  14. WTF are Leicester doing? I thought they might win today as Fulham have nothing to play for so to be 3 down at half time is awful.
  15. Our players still sign autographs before the game in the car park. It's organised with a barrier for the fans to stand behind and the players work their way along talking to the kids and signing stuff. It's a nice thing for the club to allow, takes no more than 5-10 minutes for each player and is great for the kids. Not sure any of them are turning up in old vans now although I remember Matt Targett parking up in a decidedly average Golf or something when he was younger. No doubt he's upgraded that a little bit in recent times!
  16. Let us all take a moment to enjoy Wycombe's equaliser against Portsmouth earlier.
  17. He's an absolute prick. Pretty sure there's someone else who could do a better job than a player who scored 5 goals last season. Also pretty sure that our only options aren't 1) keep our current strikers and 2) buy Ashley Barnes but if they are I'd go with 1 and take my chances thank you.
  18. De Gea, oops.
  19. I do not want Ashley fucking Barnes playing for us.
  20. Hard to say because most games in my mind have merged into one great pile of steaming turd.
  21. I've had conversations with a few people who only have a passing interest in football about Wrexham, so it goes to show how powerful a celebrity owner and a Netflix special can be. Heard a report on the radio a week or so ago when they were interviewing some American people who'd come over for a game, apparently they have a steady stream of foreign visitors for each match much like the tourist fans in the Premier League. I haven't done any reading up on this, but there must be some long term fans of the club who are a bit weirded out by all the coverage and the random new fans that have suddenly appeared from around the globe.
  22. Brewhouse on London Road is pretty decent. Lots of screens, plenty of choice of ales and they make their own pizzas. The Painted Wagon near the Guildhall is plastered with Saints memorabilia, worth a visit to have a look at all the old pictures etc.
  23. I'd lay off going to the stadium until next season because we are terrible at the moment and the atmosphere is awful. We get around 30k in the stadium depending on who we are playing but also people go to pubs to watch games which are on TV. Bear in mind that Saturday 3pm kick offs are not on TV so you'll have to go to the match or watch a stream.
  24. All this attacking football is a bit much. Far better to pass it sideways and backwards.
  25. There was some effort to get it going when Adam first signed but it didn't last too long thankfully
