This is exactly it from my point of view. We now have 2 models within the club that completely contradict each other. The selection of Mara within those tactics was baffling last night. There was no time to watch him and work out whether he looks a decent footballer or not because no one passed him the ball. Weird.

I can think of 2 times that Everton have already dispensed with a manager and employed someone from the Championship. Moyes from Preston. Worked pretty well. Lampard from Derby, not so much. Appointing a manager from the Championship isn't necessarily a bad decision. Appointing the wrong one is.

We created one very good chance that Adams predictably missed. "Chances" is a bit of a stretch though.

I'm going to watch Sholing instead.

I tried to reply to say something similar but the site crashed. He said the buck stops with him and none of the stuff that Kraken quoted is incorrect. Apart from the bit about us defending better now there's nothing wrong with what he said in those quotes either. I'm not defending his team selection, tactics or whatever because they seem poor but he doesn't deserve to be slagged off for saying things that are true.

Not as angry as I thought it would be. Largely just Forest fans singing. Boos at halftime and the end, a chant of "you don't know what you're doing" and some Saints fans joining in with Forest singing "you're getting sacked in the morning". I expected worse at the end.

That was impressively shit. Really don't understand what we were meant to be doing, was like a vacuum of tactics. If Forest weren't also completely terrible they would have won 5-0.

Michael Carrick is worth keeping an eye on. Has gone to a woeful Middlesbrough and won 7 out of the last 9, the only defeat being to Burnley. Middlesbrough now 5th in the league after languishing just above the relegation zone when he joined.

At this rate it will be like watching rugby soon. There will be BBQ's in the car park, supporters all sat in with each other and when the game ends people will politely applaud no matter the result and comment that it was a good game on their way back to the nearest bistro before visiting a wine merchant on the way home.

We already proved that not so long ago when we finished 6th and got into Europe. At some point we'll be above them again. Undoubtedly they are having a great time at the moment but it won't always be like that, and we won't always be shit.
