Not sure about faultless, he had one of his better games but still gave the ball away a fair few times and I'm not sure what he was doing diving in for the goal.

I'm not a fan of Salisu at LB because it blunts our attack on that side, but now we have Bree I can see him at RB and KWP at left back. It remains to be seen if Bree is better than Perraud. If not then I'd play Perraud and KWP for most games but go for the more defensively minded option (Salisu at LB or Lyanco at RB) against teams with more potent wingers who Perraud might struggle against.
-
At one point under Ralph when KWP was playing LB he was being seen as a possible England player in that position. Perraud is one of those players who will always work hard and give his best. He's just a bit limited at times and gets exposed against the very best players. No shame in that, but KWP doesn't, even at LB. That's the difference.

His choice of words is bad sometimes, and he doesn't help himself by getting involved in things he should leave alone. On the other hand we had fans moaning that Ralph was too quiet on the touchline and now we have fans moaning that Jones shouts too much. There's others who seemed to make up their mind even before the first game that he'd be shit and have been leaping on confirmation of that to support their stance ever since. Some of the posts on here are completely over the top. Would a pub team manager get a low budget team to the Championship play offs? Of course not. Is Jones good enough to manage in the top flight? Who knows, it's very early days.

There were people in the Northam having a go at Bazunu for taking time over goal kicks in the last few minutes, telling him to get on with it because we were 1-0 down. What Jones said is correct, there was no reason to say it though.

I said exactly the same to my kids after the game. He's taking 40k a week or whatever he's on to go through the motions and will probably carry on doing that until he retires.

Totton with 2 games in hand look dangerous. I think it will go right down to the last couple of games. A lot depends on the Sholing v Totton game a week on Tuesday. Hopefully a big crowd for that.

Shrewsbury won 2-1 against Forest Green with 94th and 98th minute goals. Love those kind of results. Sholing drew 1-1 at Lymington which is a terrible result really. Lymington are absolutely awful.
-
Not sure how you can't know what our rivals are doing? No matter what league we or they are in it's the first result I look out for.

The half time relay was funny. One kid ran the wrong way and then another 2 ran into each other and fell over.
-
It was almost like the players thought it was done at 2-0 and completely switched off. Their goal came from us weakly giving the ball away in their half and then a load of players standing around watching as they passed it through us. Until then we'd been ok, nothing more than that.

Bit of a trek coming back from Middlesbrough today and then playing tomorrow. Dibling got 20 minutes off the bench.

Fine if we play 5 at the back because he won't have as much defending to do. Full backs these days don't defend as much as they used to because they play higher up. Alexander Arnold is carving out a decent career despite being pretty terrible at defending. Obviously I'm not comparing a full back at Luton who I've never seen play to Alexander Arnold but you get the idea.

Southampton 0-1 Newcastle League Cup Semi Final 1st Leg

Agreed, I thought that was very strange. Did he even warn him? Just straight got out the yellow. Overall we did ok but our limitations in attack were exposed by missing a couple of great opportunities and they had spells of passing through us too easily when their technically good midfield players moved the ball quickly. At 1-0 there's still a chance albeit a slim one but we've seen so many unexpected results this season that another one isn't out of the question. Thought our support was good last night with fans either side of theirs in decent voice. Theirs was ok, but not quite what I expected. Enjoyed Alcaraz's performance and looking forward to seeing a lot more of him. A midfield 3 with him, Lavia and Ward Prowse will be good. Caleta Car was unfortunate in that he had no option but to make the 2 fouls he got booked for, but his defending for the goal was poor. Djenepo was awful, Orsic struggled and looked lost at times but hoping he'll come good quickly. Maybe the cup game on Saturday will be a good one for him to gain some confidence in the team. -
Southampton 0-1 Newcastle League Cup Semi Final 1st Leg

Don't think we've been as bad as some on here make out. Sloppy passing isn't helping our cause though. -
Glad Arsenal won, would be nice to see a different extremely rich team full of multi million pound players on exorbitant wages win the league this season.

Shows how little football fans know. Their fans on Arseweb or whatever their equivalent is called were frothing at the mouth last season wanting Arteta out.

The penalty decision in the Man City v Wolves game further highlights the inconsistency. Grealish runs past the defender who slides in and then kicks his back leg with a trailing foot. Ref gives goal kick. VAR has a look and says no clear and obvious error so play on. The other way around yesterday, but once ref has given the goal it's not a clear and obvious error so the decision should stand.

Lloris dropped one in the net last weekend, De Gea got his feet all muddled up and gave away a goal recently. Keepers make mistakes like all players, it's just theirs are magnified because they lead to goals. Ideally we take him out the team for a while. He's a very young, inexperienced keeper playing in the toughest league in the world. I don't doubt he'll be a top keeper but needs a break now.
-
Which people would routinely moan about. Maybe the reason Ralph did that was partly because he was concerned about the sort of thing that happened yesterday.
-
Villa were better than us, especially at moving the ball. Emery has got them playing some good football. Saying that they didn't create much and we were screwed by the terrible VAR decision which came after we went 5 at the back and got more midfielders in the box. Weirdly we're still only 3 points off 14th.

Artists, musicians, models, fashion designers, actors etc. Go back however far you want and people have been influencing others. Someone makes a song in a new genre, people are influenced by it and make something that sounds like it. A model has a certain haircut and loads of people copy it.
-
Influencers have always existed, these are just a different type and because they are on social media it's more noticeable, especially for the kids.

Much rather left wingers than right wingers. Look at the mess they are making!
