I'm booked in Block 8 which is the side of the Saints dugout. Bit of a schoolboy error on my part as less chance Foden or De Bruyne will see my double-sided handmade sign. I should have gone Block 6.

Not sure why adult tickets are £20 but U18 are only £5. Should have been £15 for adults. I'll go, not with any conviction that it will be anything other than a loss, but it's the 1/4 of the cup so I feel obliged.

They haven't actually bought him though. He's on an initial loan with a permanent move it they stay up or something. That's our best option.

We've barely had any this season so it's not like he's missing chances in that respect. Teams have worked out that we're so shit in other areas that our best scoring opportunity is via a free kick so they don't foul on the edge of the box anymore. Probably better for their defence to stand aside and let one of our players casually run through them than give away a free kick. Chances are whoever the striker is will bungle the shot anyway.

Lyanco has bought a box and had pictures of himself put up all over the walls inside.
-
He reckons he's an attacking player so maybe we should chuck him up front, can't be any worse than the other options.
-
Was expecting him to get a bit of abuse during the game but barely heard any. When he went off there were a few boos but also some applause.

Anyone know what the fight in Block 2 was about? Looked like Saints fans fighting amongst themselves from my view.
-
Not that I wanted to sit there for any longer, but how was there only 4 minutes added on at the end? The penalty decision took that long on its own, plus a load of subs and other stoppages. If that was the World Cup it would have been at least 8 minutes added.

Would be interesting to see who we'd be left with if we went down. Can see a massive amount of players leaving for one reason or another. Would be a totally different team next season, which while it sounds a good idea at the moment wouldn't give us the stability that a lot of teams who do well after going down have.
-
Feel for him being chucked in at the deep end. Needs time to mature in a stable team but that isn't going to happen with us. Obviously should have done better with the first goal. No blame for the other 2.

Wow, that was awful. Some truly inept play all over the pitch. First half was a total shambles. No obvious style, a lone striker with no support and largely aimless balls wafted forward often not anywhere near one of our players. Not sure what Stuart Armstrong has done wrong to not get in the starting line up as at least when he came on we had a modicum of drive from midfield. However with no defensive midfielder the opposition can pretty much play through us at will. The way it's going we'll be lucky to scrape 25 points this season.

He went off at half time in the 3-2 home win Mane match.

This is the most encouraging thing I have read. We already give away fans more tickets than we need to so taking some of their seats away and increasing the gap between the supporters has to be the best way forward.
-
I've always thought Rondon was a bit shit. I know we don't have much up top but I don't see the point of adding someone else who rarely scores into the mix.
-
Obviously everyone wants Charlton at home. Wolves or Forest would be ok because they are pretty much as bad as us. Could do with avoiding the others.

I presume the draw for the 1/4 final is after tonight's game?

I was too busy laughing and forgot to look!

He was really having a go at players for presumably not doing what he'd asked them to during the game. Gives a lot of instructions so at the least we won't have people complaining about a passive manager as they did with Hasenhuttl. He was also frequently involving staff in discussions during the game. Likes to stray outside the technical area. Wouldn't stand for that if I was 4th official.

Attendances are helped by supporters who go to matches rather than those who sit on the internet posting sarcastic comments.

One bloke got chucked out the Northam after we scored, not sure if it was him who let the flare off or not. Celebrating a goal against a League 1 team in a half empty stadium with a flare is a new high for fan culture.
-
I've never laughed as much in a stadium as I did in the last few minutes there. Hahahaha, fucking comedy genius.

We have some terrible players, some unintelligent players and some which fall into both camps like Lyanco. I'm sat behind the dugouts. Just before half time ball is rolling towards the touchline, their player shielding it, Lyanco behind him. Jones is shouting "NO FOUL, NO FOUL, NO FOUL" so what does Lyanco do? Yes, he commits a completely unnecessary foul and gives away a free kick in an attacking position. Quite enjoying the comedy moments like Maitland Niles tripping over the ball, Maitland Niles needlessly passing the ball out of play and Maitland Niles attempting to control a ball. Lincoln fans very decent for most of the first half. Ours are shit, resorting to crap like shouting "who are ya" when we scored and trotting out the ultra 1980's non-league "you fat bastard" when the keeper takes a goal kick. So happy proper football is back.

Sad news, he was such an influential musician.
