  1. Anyone go to a non-league game yesterday? I went to Wimborne v Sholing. A very comfortable 4-0 win for Sholing despite having 3 of their best players out. Have now won all 5 league games this season. Lovely little ground, and a gorgeous day for drinking beer by the pitch.
  2. Won 3-0. No idea who scored or if any of our subs got on.
  3. Saints have 3 players involved in the England U17 game today. Nathaniel Boot started, Jimmy Jay Morgan and Sam Amo-Ameyaw on the bench.
  4. Exactly, the first series on Netflix was series 3 overall. There's going to be a 5th and final series at some point. I absolutely love it. One of the best UK shows of recent times I think.
  5. Can we have a poll option for "shake it all about" please.
  6. Same person that presumably spoke to that Rob guy on twitter 6 hours before you posted?
  7. No, but that wasn't specified in your post!
  8. For a while I worked 4 on 4 off 12 hour shifts. It's great on the one hand because with holiday you work less than half the year, however it totally sucked when you had Thursday to Sunday, then Friday to Monday etc and everyone is doing stuff at weekends. Missed loads of football too.
  9. Basing my opinion on nothing other than a quick internet search, I'm jumping on the Belmadi bandwagon. I liked him as a player, and he seems to have done well at whatever team he has managed. Plus he can rattle on about Southampton being his spiritual home or some other such nonsense.
  10. I'm offering £100 per like for this post. ☝️
  11. Whatever the previous record was, it will be beaten by this one.
  12. Try going into the Guildhall for a gig with a bag. My other half had her mints taken off her because no food or drink are allowed in the venue. Went there on Saturday to see Doug Stanhope and they were asking £5.50 for a can of San Miguel poured into a plastic cup at the bar. The pricks.
  13. Moving to a 4 day week gets my vote. I used to work with a few people who condensed their full time hours into 4 days and they loved it. Would happily do that myself too. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2022/sep/19/four-day-week-could-alleviate-cost-of-living-crisis-thinktank-claims
  14. At least the Navy have something to do today other than float around cleaning boats or whatever it is they get up to.
  15. Is he definitely retiring? I thought that had changed. No one knows if we'll get relegated or not. There's so many games to play and teams go through good and bad periods of form, plus there's an unprecedented break for the stupid world cup in the middle, another transfer window etc.
  16. I'm not arguing for Ralph either way, I'm pretty ambivalent at the moment. I just don't think there's any point comparing managers, players or whatever to previous examples or circumstances at other clubs when they are all totally different.
  17. If he's taken the squad as far as he can then surely the bad start does reflect on him. They finished what 8th last season, sold one player and now they are bottom. To me it seems like he should go, and take some time out of the game before coming back to another club.
  18. In which case you'll no doubt agree Ralph should be given more time?
  19. The overwhelming consensus among their fans though is they want him out. If their bad start doesn't reflect on him does that mean they are wrong?
  20. David Wagner can't be a serious suggestion? He went to a half decent Schalke and turned them into a terrible team who got relegated off the back of a massive winless streak He then went to Young Boys who had won the league 3 times in a row, proceeded to manage them to a second place finish 15 points behind Zurich and got sacked again. I'd give him a swerve if it's all the same.
  21. Juventus losing to Monza has to be the result of the weekend. Monza, in case people don't know, is the team Silvio Berlusconi's bought a few years ago and got promoted last season. Before today they'd taken 1 point from their first 6 games.
  22. People have gone batshit crazy piling into supermarkets today. Obviously they can't cope with shops being shut for one whole day. Stock up on your cocktail sausages and cheese straws, it's what she would have wanted.
  23. Alternatively, that's the excellent West Ham with their great manager David Moyes below us in the bottom 3. Your game is so predictable.
