Are people still waiting for Pompey ticket email?
Berkshire Saint replied to 1976_Child's topic in The Saints
Still no sign of an email for me. They've taken the money out now though. Surely the email could be sent at the same time the payment is processed?! -
"West Ham could go top" tell me how?

Goal average and goals scored have been used in the past. Goals scored was still being used in the Football League (not the Prem) until the mid/late 1990s I'm pretty sure. -

Got a ticket showing on my online history (bus 25) but still no email, as seems the norm for those on the second ballot. Going to the game tomorrow and I'm going to attempt to pick my bus ticket up although reading all the above suggests that I'd be wasting my time. Happen to have a day off work on Wednesday but I'd rather not waste three hours of it travelling to and from Southampton! -
Collected my tickets for Donny at the Hull game last night where there was a bit of delay in getting them as they didn't have my tickets ready to collect. Got them in the end only to come home after the game to find they'd posted them out to me! Anyone else had this?

Aware of that but we dominated the game up there.

They'll win 2 or 3-0. Derby are ****e. So annoying we couldn't beat them earlier this season.
-
That appears to be the main problem. Don't think the OS ever mentioned anything about ticket sales after the original article mentioning an allocation of 1500 or so. A bit more coverage around getting numbers up for away games would be good.

It's as if they are totally unaware that so many of our fans live outside of Southampton. Dead keen for this as I'm up in Sheffield that weekend for a reunion with some Uni mates so I guess I'll just have to pick them up at the Hull game.

First half was like a training game. We were 2-0 up without really breaking into sweat. Third goal came somewhat against the run of play as Cov had just had a decent spell including the equaliser but that really knocked the stuffing out of them and we could have easily had five or six by the end. Ricoh is a decent enough stadium but the location and poor attendance just made it feel so soulless. As a club they remind me a lot of Saints in our Championship relegation season.

I've done it at QPR, Orient and Dagenham in recent years and not had any problems. Made it pretty obvious towards the end of the QPR and Orient games as well! Guess it can depend on luck of the draw and who you end up sitting around!

Anyone else considering the home end for this one?
-
Don't remember that story in Fever Pitch but knew that Hornby was from here and mentioned it at other times in the book. Will probably make an appearance at Maidenhead's game at Aldershot!
-
Had the same experience there last season for the Carlisle game. Bunch of *****s.

Got my tickets and think I'm regretting it already... Going to get the train, very easy from Reading. Looks like the next part of the journey is a pain though!

Had a bit of reading spree in the last few weeks. Usually just use up my lunch breaks reading so can get through quite a lot. When you work in a town as ****e as Addlestone there's nothing else to do really! Like to read two books at a time, usually one fiction and one non-fiction. I did History and Politics at Uni so have been keeping up my interest in that with the non-fiction. In the last month or so have read: Orwell's Homage to Catalonia, The Information by Martin Amis (was ok, not as good as London Fields or Money though-took me quite a long time to get into it), The Great Gatsby and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Just started One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest and also reading a book called 'Where Power Lies' which looks at the relation between our Prime Ministers and the media from Lloyd George to Cameron. Really interesting stuff.

Have absolutely no recollection of that game ever happening. Have tried to erase that season from my memory I suppose.

Got back a little while ago. Don't think we were as bad as some are making out. Shows how far we've come I guess! Need to get a striker in on loan I think as Connolly hasn't been much kop recently and doesn't look like Barnard will be back any time soon. De Ridder needs to get a run of starts, has impressed me whenever I've seen him. Loved the celebrations when we scored today, went absolutely mental! Reading's support was pretty ****e...only one block of fans to our right making any noise at all. Although given our numbers we weren't great until the last twenty minutes or so. Why did they chant 'Seasiders, **** **** ****' at us?! And despite being local I could barely make out what they were saying in most of their chants!

Ordered mine on Monday evening and they arrived today.

Another one who had no idea that we played it currently either! Remember that we had it when Burley was manager at his and the players request apparently!
-
Usually up near the back of Block 38. Decent atmosphere and has tended to be standing all game up there for the last couple of seasons. Stil get the odd moron but that's life/football!

Happened to me last year. Just emailed the ticket office and got a reply within a day or two sending it back to me.

Ipswich build up. Let's tear them a new one.

Seriously thinking of doing this one after Saturday's win and because I'm unlikely to see any games before October time...tickets should be available on the gate shouldn't they? -
Pretty average FC record for us for someone who's probably pretty highly paid. One of those 4 FC 100s was a double hundred against a University side so that inflates his stats there a bit. Good one day player though but I'm not too fussed about him leaving.
-
You almost get the impression that's the case, yes!

Good rally by our tail sets Sussex 233 to win. Should be interesting!
