  1. Here here, good shout. Been outstanding all season for me, thriving under MP. I think we are stronger when he starts, instead of coming when we are chasing a came.
  2. My problem with Ramirez is he was keeping Davis out the team, who i think has been excellent all season. Today they played together on a rare start. He still looks like a passenger at times. His best game was his first start at St Mary against Villa. He promises a lot but just not delivering.
  3. What a talent he is. But, if he was playing Russian Roulette he'd miss with a fully loaded chamber.
  4. Punch to be put left side with J-rod going RM,one thing for sure is you wont be seeing Mayuka starting!! (when does he go to ACON? ----------------------- Sounds like a great idea ( not) it all went tits up with punch when he was moved to left to accommodate oxslade, he became the whipping boy week in week out and the rest is history. Leave Ramirez there for now.
  5. Played for the Schoolboys whilst at the dell as well from Age of 9 - 14/15, Was at Weston Park and the school year on year always had a good side. Bitterne Park and Bellemoor at the time were closest rivals. Remember schoolboys games against Portsmouth, even then had a bite and niggle about it --------------------------- I was a School Boy in the early 80's and also a Weston Park Lad. Played a the Dell a few times in the English School trophy. Seemed like a football pitch for giants even at that age. Its funny but a bumped into the old sports teacher from Bellemoor last sunday and pass Bywaters every morning as he cycles into Hamble. Happy days.
  6. I think it's widely accepted that Harding and possibly Hammond were not upto the premiership, fair enough. But we also lost two strong characters and former captains from the dressing room.

I hope Atkins learns fast, yesterday was niave. We have come up through the divisions, ruthlessly rotating between the midfield with Hammond, Spider, Chaplow and Cork. Davis, Prowse were knackered towards the end. That was made yesterday for Hammond to come on with fresh legs for the last 10 mins and and we no longer have that option. When Scholes come on, the world and his wife knows what Scholes does, and we didnt get within 10 yards of him when he recieved the ball. Top effort, we can compete in this league, but Atkins has blew it yesterday and and possibly in the window. Fonte and Jos, havnt just started looking sloppy, this was happening last year but we got away with it. Every mistake has been ruthlessly punished. and one further point, Atkins fit is different from Premiership Fit. We are use to controlling the tempo, we now have to chase and close down for the 90mins and we are looking short.
  8. The flare looked great for tv and those on the pitch caught up in the moment, from the stand for a brief moment it had the capacity to go wrong, you could see the sway of the crush you could see flags swaying around near the flame and I am glad we are on the front pages today for the right reasons. I'm not a killjoy, not expecting sensible replies but worried by some of the comments on here.
  9. Will miss some of the players who have made this great journey possible, who,s efforts and endeavours will not be forgotten. Will miss the honesty of the majority of hard working pros who play in the lower leagues Will look forward to my 9yr old son seeing the stars in the flesh instead of MOTD and Fifa 12 Will look forward to Cortese fulfilling his promise to compete in the PL without diluting the togetherness and foundations that has breathed new life into our beloved club.
  10. Impressed with his movement and ability but he is along way short of being fit, too early to be disappointed but sharp needs to look sharper.
  11. did i read somewhere that Nolan is suspended for three games?
  12. i think the coverage changed after about 10mins, every piece of action had someone mouthing abuse, we can all lip read. Everytime lalana took a corner in the first half the guy in the wheelchair was 2ft away shouting ''your xxcking xxit'' after that everything went long shot. We are talking mid day on a sunday afternoon. i think the producer was covering his ass, as for the sound filter for the songs, non-existant.
  13. i have been one his biggest fans but i cant defend him today, we was poor i just think he didnt have a clue what he was expecting today. It was a viscious hateful arena and he didnt have a clue.
  14. I was in Woolston and that wasnt a penalty , but seeing 3 other decision not given and against Brighton. i'll take it. My only concern would be referee's watching the highlights would see we have played for 3 decisions and just mark our card.
  15. Ever since he's been put up top with Rickie's he's decided he's not giving up his place for anyone and that has showed in his play. His tracking back across the Brighton back four was awesome and deserving of the applause.

    Frazer R

totally agree, seems to have found another gear since lasy year.
  17. Have to say i was disappointed, he has to get better defensively other wise he will struggle to keep his place. I didnt like the team today but i wasnt aware till tonight that Dan, Fraser and Butterfield were all carrying knocks. A wins a win and McClaren flipping out in our technical area and Aitkin covering his laugh really did cap the day.
  18. How funny, im 100% i saw him in Swanwick Lane jogging in boiling sunshine with about 15 layers on.
  19. Markus L , Nicola, Nigel A and Pardew in that order, all played apart in what has been achieved to day. Walsall is going to be special.
  20. Just Mike - a fantastic idea and one that has crossed my mind but please dont pay £2700 for a 10m x 15m for a this tribute, i am in the trade and this can be achieved for half the price and within 5 working days. I think the PM facility is still active on this site. send me some contact details and i can forward a direct supplier to help.
  21. never gives less than 100% and thats good enough for me.
  22. He's done a fantastic job and he's given us something we have been lacking for a while and thats a winning mentality, not a survival mentality because we are The Saints after all, but he's produced a never say die, one dressing room team. Well done Nigel
  23. The S****horpe loanee Jones, now at Sheffield Wednesday, he did impress me a few weeks back.
  24. i'll take the 3 points, but had to rub my eyes, were they on the lash last night. Ive seen better opponents stuffed this season at St Marys.
