The fans stay away because there has been season after season of misery and decline. We all know our best players will be sold at Xmas, we have never kept anyone worth a damn in all the years I have watched Southampton except MLT. The gates will fall beow 12k and the 10k in February Even ST holders are staying away. The arriving recession will crucify this club. Never mind we still have the great helmsmans "Total Football Revolution"

1-3 to Watford

No two games are the same even between the same two sides. Having said that I expect Saints will get a thrashing

Harry Rednapp knows how to play the media and always plays the victim. He needs a lot of money to be succesfull and a bit of luck but then most managers do. I heard some big money wanted to take Portsmouth over but if that happens they will have been incredibkly lucky to find three different people ready to put cash into them. **** ground, **** crowd **** town and limited branding potential Find it hard to believe Portsmouth can sustain themselves in the Premiership.

Scooby nasty bastard neeed . Get your boots

Apathy? Cant be bothered. It is definitely true as we bobble along in the lower reaches of the Championship I find I care less about bad results although I am always delighted to see a good one. I predict the sub 10k attendees at St Marrys just after the transfer window closes in Feb

2-1 to the Saints yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

It is not the fault of the young players. They want to succeed more than any old professional would. Many are not the finished article. They need our support but you do have to ask questions about how the club has been run that results in young players being asked to cope against more physical exprienced players who have had many more years to learn the trade

The fans are not giving up on the club the club is giving up on us

Very important to get a result of some kind on Satruday i.e. a draw. Must win Tuesday night. If we go under on Saturday badly the crowd on Tuesday will be potentially under 10k. Falling gates will prove the point that the gamble of a young side being able to survive in this league and attract enough paying customers has failed. Then the writing will be on the wall for Sir Rupert. The run up to Xmas will mean fans short of money will choose to spend it elsewhere. Come the transfer window the players who can will bale. Sir Rupert will get abuse the gates will fall and it will be Administration time! ( unless Sir Rupert puts money in which will only be enough to fend it off for another few months Goodness I am even depressing myself here. Mental note (Must work on my" Death to Rupertnistas" banner) At some point we must stop declining surely

If the football fails, the fans will desert the club and the Bank will realise that they had better get what they can. No one believes you can make money in football anymore and it is a very expensive hobby out of the reach of even multi millionaires. I fear we will go into administration and fervently hope RL will then go rather than miraculously find money to buy the club he couldnt find to invest in the club I fear we shall slip down a league and lose the chance of ever attaining premiership status again. We are not based in London ,we never were a fashionable club The globalisation of football means the majority of clubs like us will be excluded from the "big time" I hope that one day we can touch bottom and start to be a club that is building rather than a club constantly declining. It is a hard road and if this happens I hope we at least see RL humbled and the Rupertnistas silenced

"When you hemmorage fans 35 - 45, who have been there through thin and thinnner then you are in serious trouble and idea that fans should be blind fools who just shell out their cash regardless is, frankly, b o l l o c k s." That is it in a nutsell. I had my hopes raised by the good football the boys were playing but it seems it cannot be sustained. I find a great pull to go to every match at home but sometimes my brain takes over and I think it is just a waste of money to go to have ones hopes of seeing something positive be dashed again. RL & MW would castigate the board record of the club if they were looking at the club from the outside. They have been runnning it foradecade?/ Where we are can only be attributed to them. I pay to go to see the Saints most home matches. They pay themsleves money to run the club. If the results dont come the attendances will fall below 12k. They should realiseGod is telling them that in the words of the famous chant " you dont know what you are doing"
-
QPR 2 -1 Saints
-
If the debt grows above agreed limits and attendances are falling there will be pressure to get what they can get back.

So the plan appears to be we just try to muddle through and sell players as and when anyone wants to buy them. The only outcome of that is the overall quality will degrade over time. Even if we got promotion we do not have the board that can deliver the investment to even have an attempt at staying up. With the new economic reality of football we will do well to avoid administration in the next three years. We will have falling attendances as the "Rupert Lowes Total Football Revolution"is seen to sell any decent player that emerges. Goodness its a frightful prospect

The match on Saturday showed the reality we face. We have no pace up front and it really shows. As any other team than Saints perfected the art of hitting the post or having shots cleared off the line better than Saints Nathan Dyer is a complete waste of space and it is pointless to play him. He cannot go past a man and put a decent ball into the box. McGoldrick cant do it on his own. Maybe Jan should put a dollop of mustard up McGs arse like they do with slow greyhounds. Blackpool deserved their win. I taken no pleasure in saying to the "Lowes Strategy Vindicated "boys that we will face teams that play us like Blackpool too frequently. Lets hope our loan striker is really good .Goodness knows we need someone who can put the ball in the net. I lost count of the number of times they put the ball in the back of our net
-
On no the" holier than thou "fans who tell the paying public that they must not boo our delicate boys. If you pay the money you can cheer or boo if you like. The team were more than poor on Saturday , What you really should be worried about is the attendance levels. At least the booing fans paid their money to see them. You should be worried about the fans who dont turn up anymore
