What do you think is the number one reason why......
Fan The Flames replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
A losing mentality just does not exist in elite sport. It may happen to us lot down the park on a Sunday morning but these are professional footballers, they are winners and mentally strong they had to be to become professional footballers in the first place. They were all winners in their youth sides, they were the winners in their academies when only something like 1 out 4 makes it, these guys are mentally strong enough. Its all about quality and being set up right, get those two things right and you have a winning side. -
What got me was Souness obviously thought he was ****e and took him off, had he not seen him train?

Its lack of quality, but I'm sure the fans will get the blame. -
An expansion of the ground would be amazing, would definately love another tier. Can't see why Plymouth wouldn't be choosen, fifa and uefa have a history of supporting far flung locations. Its well located to serve the south west.

Tbf he did say men not public school pussies

If money was no object I would have prefered a steeper rake and closeness to the pitch, but this may have put a few million on the cost of the project. So Lowe had to make a decision and in my opinion he made the better decision given our spending power against what would be gained by the steeper rake etc.
-
That is because Mr Unt your warped point of view is so easily dismantled by the true facts. Yet you plough on regrdless.
-
You, like Lowe obviously know f#ck all about football if you don't know that crowds dwindle as teams drop through the divs. Our last attendance beat 5 champ sides and 1 prem which is worth celebrating. You didn't stay positive for long, the bile, it seems with you, is always close to the service.
-
The last drawings Spurs released of their new ground was an emirates clone, also highbury was just as quiet as the emirates. The dell was old and outdated, we get bigger crowds in the 3rd div than the dell could occupy.
-
It wasn't the Dell that made us succesful it was a good team. Yes the rake and closeness to the pitch at SM was wrong but buying an off the shelf product made it a lot cheaper, one of Lowes better decisions.

Everything is ok in England because this wasn't a robbery just a revenge attack, phew I was worried for a minute. The notw story is pretty inconclusive tbh.

Some basic lessons in football psychology...
Fan The Flames replied to Legod Third Coming's topic in The Saints
Yes as well as Newcastle and Middlesborough. Losing mentality is cod pyshcology used by managers that can't turn a team around. Nothing kills a 'losing mentality' like winning a few games. A losing mentality doesn't exist, it is just the realism that when you go a goal or two down you know you havn't got the ability to come back. Its lack of ability not a mental thing. -
Have you had many books published recently 19C unt

Whilst I agree with what your are saying about footballers protecting their teritory, but football over the last few decades has been very undinosaur like to new influences that actually make a difference, diets, training regimes, computer analysis, new recovery techniques etc. Maybe the clifford appointment really was an illustration how out of touch cw was with football or maybe will we see in ten years time that they were both ahead of the times. I really believe that one should replicate the behaviour of winners and there aren't many non-football coaches in the top four with as much influence that cw had at sfc.
-
Stop with the rhetoric and name me one credible case where a high profile coach from one sport has become sucessful in another (not including across the rugby codes). Of course there are transferible skills but these can not outweigh the specific skills that are required, that most successful football coaches have spent years honing. Chester went down with an american football coach. I was all for CW having a consultants input but Lowe raised his profile too high. Btw it seems harry is doing ok without him.

Mmmm just like in your second post on this thread. Nice op back to usual straight after though. However I strongly suspect that you new found positivism is just another vehicle to slag off other fans, w ho are quite high up your hate list. -
Because the champions league is littered with rugby coaches.

Probably some scroat that thinks the house will be full of rolex watches and bundles of cash. Speedy recovery CD.

This season is starting to resemble last season. I would have thought we would have won by now.
-
Just like your postings are your chance to live out your dreams of being a Daily Mail columnist. Only a mentalists list of hate figures would include those helping out at kids football. All a bit sad really.

442 jumped the shark when they signed up the **** Robbie Savage.

Even when being positive you have to slag people of.
