  1. You really are clueless, Arsenal have been promoted twice, once dubiously, so they have some in common with MK. Also Southampton did start at the bottom playing locally, then in the Southern League and in the Third Division we were not given a place 5 division above where we should be. It took us 40 years to get to the top flight so we've done our time.
  2. Wimbledon were a small club whose attendance rose when they got into the top flight and dropped back of when they went down, just like it does with any club, witness the fall in Middlesboroughs attendance. Their attendance fell back to pre top flight figures and more than MK are getting now. So to say they were deserting and to extrapolate that to going bust is playing loose with the stats. No one knows if they would have gone bust, but if they had there are far more deserving clubs that have been knocking on the door for years, Kettering, Woking, Burton and some of them new towns that got their act together, formed and supported clubs. What have the citizens of MK been doing for 50 years, they have had plenty of time to realise what you think they deserve. Things were closed shop for years in football but that changed years ago and now there is a perfectly legitimate way of moving up and becoming a league side. Stealing a team is plainly wrong and I cant understand anyone outside of MK not seeing that.
  3. To sack him after a win, means they must have someone lined up and if Strachan is such an odds on favourite then something is known.
  4. Heaven forbid that a small club should be allowed to exisit in the top flight. Should we hound them out and save the Prem for the gigantic clubs with massive asian fan clubs, Wigan had better watch out or Milton Keynes for that matter if they ever get in to the top flight. Yes it won't ever happen to the Saints because it won't be allowed again, that's how wrong it was. I would have applauded Winkleman if he had taken the non-league MK team all the way through the league, like the people of Wimbleden did, but that was too much hard work better to steal another club. Wimbledon fans were distraught at what went on, but that doesn't matter does it as long at it sticks two fingers up at people you don't like.
  5. I was confident that there was always a plan b, c or d and in some form we would have existed. We would have risen from the ashes in the Blue Square probably next year, we would have just played friendlies this season. Yes it would be ten times worse then our current position but it would have been something and certainly better than nothing. Look at the buzz there is now, bottom of division 3 but with a future; there was no way our fans would have given up on that.
  6. In hope by then we are steaming up the table and your daughter gets to see us full of confidence and playing good football.
  7. I agree, the admin was about the future in whatever shape it might take. And I agree again what would have inevitably been a slide towards the bottom division, a division we have never been in before, was more than I could take. The Bristol Rovers cup game was a bleak moment only brighten by an afternoon of drinking.
  8. So no terracing left then, thats a shame. Been to LO loads over the years watching Plymouth or Brighton and the away end is always moving around the ground, haven't been since its been done up. Barry Hearne is known to accomodate a good away crowd by turfing the local out so it would be good to get the whole of the East Stand. I went there a few years back with Brighton and they were given the whole Oliver Road stand when it was terracing and the home fans were moved to the uncovered away end. The roof made a terrific noise, when can make more noise than them so it should be a good atmosphere and hopefully another three points.
  9. My dream book says you have fears about sustaining an erection.
  10. I like the programme and i'm thankful there's football at a lower level on the box. Its good coverage and the format turns highlights into a show. Lizzie is fit, the presenter is good and clarridge is a football fan and not so anti saints. Thank god that **** savage isn't on it.
  11. One of his biggest mistakes imho and will fail any club that enancts them. You are more likely to bounce back first or second attempt without the relegation clause. With a relegation clause the chairman takes on none of the risk of going down, but win wins rarely exist and ultimately the relegation clause will kill any morale left in the camp and just result in a lot of unhappy low motivated players that you have to shift on. It wastes a years of parachute money.
  12. there was no return clause.
  13. Only a **** like 19C would walk into a party with a pretty girl on his arm (I know its hard to believe as he's more likely to be at home ****ing and muttering to himself why it more fun to be alone in your bedroom) and when some ones says she is one the fittest bird in here, would reply no she probably ranks about 21st. Most probably realise that LM is not in the top 20 managers af all time, but only the twisted would start a thread to expose this. The rest just let it lie out of respect for what he achieved for us. Still you cant argue with a sick mind.
  14. Preston are short of a few bob and he had a falling out with the manager before he left. They are not doing too badly in the league so are not likely to change manager, so they should be up for an offer come Jan. Also if we are doing alright and the terms are good he may well be up for it as well. We will have to show him a lot of love between now and January.
  15. Lets not forget that the greatest period you speak of was a 7th finish and runners up in the FA cup. Also probably close to half the league clubs have moved to new/rebuilt grounds, so not so amazing.
  16. But that could be said for most football clubs, after all our debt was swamped by Man Utds, Arsenals, Liverpools. It's whether you can service that debt and when the creditors lost confidence in SFC was when Lowe was back in charge. Thank **** for that. Still as you say its all about the future now.
  17. Relocations have always happened within the city/town where they played ie Arsenal, Man Utd and names changed for wider geographical connections ie St Marys to Southampton. But never has a club been stolen from one set of fans and given to another like the Wimbledon story. I think the authorities changed the rules to stop this happening again, even the 'couldn't give a ****' football authorities thought it was wrong. I too hope we smash up the plastic club, I would like to see them go bust.
  18. We need to win the next four home games and a couple of away wins to turn our average record into a good one.
  19. Sound like Kevin Phillips debut againts Leicester, hope it doesn't end up the same.
  20. Off the bottom spot, next goal out of the r zone which I predict we will do in 4 games.
  21. I know they have done a lot of work on the stadium so I guess there's no standing any longer, is that right.
  22. Good luck JD, it should be easier taking over a winning side. Always looked out for Aldershots scores but this makes it a bit more interesting.
  23. Onwards and upwards, can relax all weekend. It will be interesting how many points we are out of relegation zone come Sunday evening.
  24. Let's hope he rebuilds his career and our fortunes.
  25. Lots of 5-4 games, it would be a bit like a football version of netball, not much running and loads of passing 'theres only ten Matt Le Tissiers'
