  1. Each player listed above came with a little packet of hope that they would be the next big thing.
  2. It nice to see you agree he did well at Celtic. I doubt anyone after Jock Steins mantle would leave would they. I don't know why he left Celtic anymore than I know why he left us, hhhhmmm lets guess, he suffered from mental health problems due to PTS after Coventry and wants to avoid it again. Your turn Mr Unt.
  3. You are clearly trying to be obtuse. You don’t know anymore than a couple of dates, when the plans were published, when it was mentioned on here and when the echo mentioned them. You could choose from those facts to see the story your way or your could accept that there may be a little bit more to it that this simplistic reading of events. In my experience things are normally slightly more complex than the simplistic version.
  4. You don't know if anything else happened along that timeline. For instance the club could have brief the Echo weeks ago and asked them to sit on it until the press conference and then the story broke on the internet and the echo then published. I'm not saying this happened, I'm saying you don't know for a fact your version of events is actually fact.
  5. I thought it was plain, you don't know anything that your are claiming as fact to indeed be fact. You are doing exactly what you are stating you dislike about the Echo, you are publishing stories with out doing any research. The last time it came up about the Echo nicking stories from here, the Echo explained why it wasn't true.
  6. I guess it must be hard when the club are forced to keep selling your best players. Sturrock was not a poor manager when he joined us as two promotions testify, he has the same average record at Sheff Wed as the manager before and as Brian Laws since. I'm sure at the right set up he will do alright again.
  7. Very much so. Celtic were in the Champions League every year with Strachan and qualifying for the last 16, so it would be impossible to get to the UEFA semi final. But then again 19 C unt has s#it for brains.
  8. I remember the blackburn game on telly, for the beeb matches you could send away for the programme which arrived on the day of the match. Who else did we play on telly that year we seemed to always get chosen. I went to all Plymouth cup games that season (apart from the semi as my dad took my uncle, cheers dad) each cup draw we thought we would draw each other. We almost had the perfect final ruined by heath and jackett.
  9. The football is giving me wet dreams as well, phew I thought I was the only one.
  10. That's my point, the four statements you made; hard to manage, always instigates the pranks, takes them too far, needs to be liked, are based on nothing other than a feeling. He's had a pretty long career at four clubs and not really caused much trouble.
  11. I love statements like this, not based in facts, just a 'feeling'.
  12. Favourite scoreline back and favourite scorers just the wrong order. Brilliant we will be up to 12th next game.
  13. I'm sure he will be back fighting very soon. Heard him on the radio recently, talks very well on the subject and has just had another baby. I wish him all the best for the future. BBC give Savage his papers Hartsons much better.
  14. Do they have a plastic pitch or did I dream that the other night.
  15. No you're wrong in my opinion, as a frenchman he shouldn't support england even if he works here, but to single england out is bad form old chap and at the very least undiplomatic and without thought.
  16. I think winchester has a point, if true very poor form to slag off the hand that feeds.
  17. So may be people will think that this so called dignity he dispalyed was all for himself afterall we are one of the richest leagues in the world.
  18. Ahh this thread has made me nostalgic for the good fight, I see the old lowe lie mongerers are at and the soldiers of truth are still standing still, ahh they were the days when the we battled for the future of our beloved club and the good won out. Talking of old posters anyone remember Orange Bud, lively little poster.
  19. Average top flight finish before Lowe 12th after 13th. Lowes good points, stadium with a big dollop of external help and finding a buying by making us go bust, nice one Lowey.
  20. Each team will have a bad patch or two, we've had ours already and can't afford any more. As the bad patches start the gap will start closing.
  21. Not as much fun as the 3-1 3-2's but it will do, clean sheet and all that.
  22. So Plymouth have over taken us just in the last few season then.
  23. Spurs dvd, enough said. Those without sin cast the first stone, they haven't beaten us since the 80's, they regard us as a derby with a bigger club. They need to maximise income so no big deal. It was a big deal for them.
  24. We're though. Who do you want in the 4th round, I want Staines or Aldershot away.
