  1. Me too. two exceptions
  2. True but doesn't change the fact that poorly educated people are more likely to be Brexiteers than well educated people of the same age.
  3. That's most Brexiteers. Angry about something, not sure what, but the Mail and Express assured them it was the EU's fault.
  4. No different to his birthday or Christmas tbf
  5. Its just a relatively mild flu like virus. The people who died were elderly with other underlying conditions. Its going to be like SARS, a relatively brief panic over not very much
  6. Saw a crash only last week on M23. Truck slammed into a broken down car stopped on the inside lane.
  7. Its obviously just a photoshop mock up, not even a real picture of the shirts. Look at the super straight lines and text across their chests despite the obvious contours. (cue Ducky blabbing about the flat chested bird thats why). Probably couldnt bribe any models to actually wear them
  8. Jeez Wes, if only you were more self aware. It's like listening to Barney Rubble criticise Einstein. You are without doubt the most blinkered poster on here. Others are thicker but only you have such a narrow tribalistic view of the world.
  9. GDP 2009. Not quite sure how that was Blair's fault.
  10. Nearly. Just waiting for the German car companies to start hammering on the door.

    Meg-xit

Exactly this. Why would they stay given the relentless stalking and character assassination by much of media and lapped up by eejits like Jamie and Hypo.
  12. Ben Bradshaw is hugely underrated. I’d vote for him, but he’s the epitome of a southern intellectual metrosexual. He wouldn’t play well up north - less well than Starmer.
  13. Its all about opinions and what you need it for - but I had a surface pro 2 as my work machine and hated it, horrible to type on and barely ever used it. For me its only advantage is its very light and portable. But the OP says he wants to keep the cost down and doesn't need mobility so....
  14. Buy a business class machine that is just out of lease. They are far better built and specced than anything you could buy for double the price new. Something like this https://www.tier1online.com/292-dell-9020-sff-i7/refurbished-dell-optiplex-9020-i7-4770-quad-sff I've bought from Tier 1 and it was immaculate and still happily flying through work three years on. Their warranty is at least as good as buying new also.
  15. Ah a variation in the champagne socialists theme. You don’t really get this altruism trait do you Jamie? The idea that someone would want a less unequal society even if they didn’t personally benefit from it is a ‘does not compute’ for you.
  16. It’s a pretty lacklustre field of candidates so far. Even the best, Keith Starmer is just ‘okay’. Would make a good minister but doesn’t have the presence to be an inspiring leader.
  17. There are lots of definitions within countries let alone between countries. One of the most common is living in a household with income of 60% or less of the mean. More detailed explanation here: https://fullfact.org/economy/poverty-uk-guide-facts-and-figures/
  18. News flash Wes. We're still in the single market and customs union and Johnson is already gearing up for an extension. Out on WTO terms is what you bet on. Time to stump up.
  19. Apologies if already posted but Alistair Campbell pointed out over the weekend that by the time of the next election Tony Blair will be the only Labour leader in over over 50 years to have won an election. The obvious fact that getting elected is the primary goal and how 'pure' or radical your manifesto is should be very much secondary seems to escape so many in Labour.
  20. There isn't much privacy in the booths either
  21. If he got it done in Wales and SNP got it done in Scotland then the pressure on Westminster would be huge.
  22. If he had claimed £500,000 he could have lived a very good retirement in Thailand and it would likely never have got to court
  23. It's rocketed by 0.2%
  24. You do tend to get a few more extremists, after all PR is about ensuring all voices are heard - but the Governments are overwhelmingly made up of coalitions, which favours centre left or centre right politics. That would be a huge improvement on the two doctrinaire twonks we have to choose from ATM.
