  1. They might seem special to you, I empathise. To others they are government figures published widely. Despite the Tories 2010 pledge to reduce net immigration to tens of thousands non EU immigration (the bit we've got control of - the issue we're all voting on) is not only is higher than EU immigration but has been rising since 2012. Our super tough government with its super tough entry system allows in more people from the other side of the world than come from our near neighbours - people who could wake up one morning, decide to come and be here by lunchtime. This is the government Brexiteers think are going to reduce immigration if we vote leave.
  2. Its not hard to understand. The point is that having control over non EU immigration doesn't result in lower numbers.
  3. I'll mark you down as ****wit on that one then.
  4. Really? Im so sorry, do explain. I thought you were saying the EU was the primary source of cheap labour undercutting UK wages when in fact its Pakistan and Bangladesh. What were you actually claiming? I'll dig out the facts to prove that wrong too.
  5. The EU migrants average wage is higher than the average UK born wage. Pakistani and Bangladeshi born is much lower. hth.
  6. Seems weird to see Saints ranked equally with Inter and Fiorentina.
  7. You swim past all kinds of stuff which contradicts your assumptions. You don't seem to know what point you are making. Perhaps we should start from there. What is it you would like to say about immigration in the context of the EU referendum?
  8. Im not at all uncomfortable about it. If immigration from non EU countries was low, or at least lower than EU immigration then the Brexiteers might have a point about controlling our borders. It isnt. If immigrants from the EU were on average lower skilled than non EU migrants or Brits the Brexiteers might have a point. They aren't. If EU migrants claimed more benefits than Brits the Brexiteers might have a point. They don't. Like CB Fry I simply enjoy popping pomposity of the Brexiteers with a few well placed facts. Immigration isnt going to stop whoever wins. If you are going to have mass immigration I would argue that its preferable to have many of them come from neighbouring countries.
  9. He's already world class in flashes. His problem has been its only maybe one match in four and even then only for half the game.
  10. I was helping you out. You were explaining who the 170,000 non EU immigrants were, and gave the example of Indonesian doctors. So thats 22. Who are the other 169,978?
  11. Thats fine isnt it? Our national government decides.
  12. with a veto. We can choose to be part of it, or not. No big conspiracy.
  13. There are 22 Indonesian junior doctors working in the NHS, fewer than the Latvians. By contrast 1,296 Spanish and 1,400 Greek. Its a pity when the myths underpinning your politics let you down. http://www.theguardian.com/society/2014/jan/26/nhs-foreign-nationals-immigration-health-service
  14. Exactly. The majority of immigration right now comes not from our 27 nearest neighbours - but from China and India and other countries half way around the world. Boris, for all the rhetoric isnt going to stop that.
  15. They never voted to leave the EU.
  16. Bakers Arms Droxford
  17. Excellent interview. I've got used to switching off Saints interviews after a couple of minutes because they're usually just banal questions with stock 'what the fans want to hear' answers. Les Reed was great in this, real analysis and thoughtful answers.
  18. That article thinks TTIP is a good idea and implies it shouldnt be questioned by member states. Tells you all you need to know
  19. I believe you must file accounts within ten months of the end of the financial year, and Saints normally use nearly all of that time. If you release accounts in April 2016 for the financial year ending June 30th 2015 the activity will date from July 1st 2014 onwards. Its pretty hard to draw accurate conclusions about what is happening now from that info.
  20. If he'd managed to keep 11 happy, plus substitutes, he might have had a chance.
  21. Cant see Giggs ever making a good manager.
  22. ex-policeman
  23. I quite like Sam Cam.
  24. Koeman's contract is the main issue occupying fans atm. The club need to show they are aware and addressing the issue - regardless of the outcome.
