  1. That makes me young then, and Im sat here planning where to retire - a bit like Koeman by the looks of it.
  2. Well he's not decomposing but 46 hardly fits the description of a "young" coach.
  3. Would be deeply underwhelmed with him (based solely on his wiki page). Pretty undistinguished management career and not that young any more. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paco_J%C3%A9mez
  4. The club has has made three / four good manager appointments on the trot, which is pretty exceptional. Appointing Howe would indicate Les now believes he / the club have got the magic touch and whoever they appoint will succeed. Howe could come good, but would be huge gamble - and the higher you are up the tree the more you have to lose with gambles.
  5. I find it difficult to get going in the morning and don't like cloudy days. I think i might be royalty
  6. On the other hand you have the report by a 24 year old volunteer teacher who has an Islamic studies degree. So things are pretty even eh Wes?
  7. Only ever played as an amateur though. It doesnt matter to me but it matters to some players, especially those who are young, trying to break into international teams and are looking for that 1% or 2% extra they need. Would you rather sign for a guy who has 100 caps for Holland and played for Barcelona - or somebody who never made it?
  8. I thought Albers was his agent
  9. You should make a vid
  10. Albers told the Daily Echo: “I’ve talked to Les Reed every three days over the last five weeks, we have a good relationship, but we have not discussed Frank de Boer at any moment.” Seems odd. His client FdB is looking for a management job in the PL and he never once mentions FdB to Les and Les never enquires about him or mentions that they would / wouldn't be interested? What is it with football and utter BS? If you can't tell the truth then say nothing.
  11. I'd be happy with AVB. I had no idea he was still only 38. Hopefully he's learned, developed and improved some more since Spurs. Apparently (wiki) he told Leningrad he wanted to return to Portugal for family reasons so he may have to persuade his wife.
  12. At least we wouldnt have to take Andros Townsend this time.
  13. Catlin concluded: ‘When I first started attending events like this, Portsmouth felt very much like outsiders. ‘That’s as a result of what had been going on. ‘Now we’re not treated differently to any other club. The bestest 'not lepers' in the land
  14. Dont forget the QUANGOs, bastards http://www.theguardian.com/news/datablog/2009/jul/07/public-finance-regulators
  15. In any event we were paying Koeman £2.5m. The Everton compo would cover the difference for three years so we wouldnt be out of pocket.
  16. Flat wrong. Policy and the legislative agenda is set by the Council of Ministers. http://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/european-council/role-setting-eu-political-agenda/
  17. "Bascombe worked at the Liverpool Echo for seven years, whilst there he won Sports Writer of the Year in the North West for five successive years.[2] He is also the recipient of the 'Merseyside Journalist of the Year' and the 'Sports Journalist of the Year' award at the Merseyside Media Network Journalism Award.[3] He was presented the award by Bill Kenwright."
  18. Probably face saving. Would think he was interviewed last time and was rejected
  19. Well that should solve the housing crisis
  20. I like de Boer and wanted him instead of Koeman - but something seems to be up with him. He has been linked to / shortlisted and presumably interviewed by so many clubs and yet never appointed. Its becoming a bit odd.
  21. Having to pay big sell on fees which reduce our cut means they are even less likely to be sold.
  22. Yep unsavoury business all round. You can get arrested for that as well
  23. Comedy gold. That report was written by a 24 year old student whose academic background is in Islamic politics. His ONLY work experience is working for a free property mag and as an unqualified temporary teacher. He has no academic or work experience in trade or economics. That is the quality of the thinking behind Brexit. You should follow him on Twitter Wes, he's got 21 followers but might find time to expand his ideas. https://twitter.com/WindersSam
