In all likelihood the person getting a free ride is you. Current pensions and healthcare are far higher and better (funded by today's tax payers) than the level you paid for during your working life. Of the c£500bn of public expenditure each year c£115bn is spent on pensions and disability and only £14.5bn on primary and secondary education. Of the £122bn spent on health, the over 65s consume services at over four times that of the under 65 age group. By contrast job seekers allowance and income support total c£10bn.
