Thats easy - you simply deduct the earned income from the CGT. You get an allowance for improvements. Ive made about £400,000 over the past 17 years simply by owning somewhere to live. It will cost me all that to help my kids onto the ridiculous property spiral caused by lack of building. Dont kid yourself you've earned the vast majority of the increase in the property.

They did that trick about 15 years ago to prove how much better Network Rail was than British Rail. They just quietly increased the journey times and lo punctuality improved because they were now classed as 'on time' instead of 'late'. A great triumph of private industry over nationalisation (psst don't mention its slower to get to work than before) and that current public subsidy is four times in real terms what is was as a nationalised industry.

I work from home. I ****ing hated commuting

Go to Santa Monica (about three miles from LAX). Do some shopping on the pedestrianised 3rd Avenue between Wilshire Boulevard and Broadway https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@34.0142797,-118.4945663,3a,66.4y,319.12h,83.67t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sA8NjIpWM0prCHAQWiJ596g!2e0?hl=en Take a stroll down the pier (amusements for the 11 yr old) and stay here http://www.hoteloceanasantamonica.com/?gclid=CLnCzJWIqMICFQsUwwodSJwA5w. Sorted!

Stalin has been dead for 60 years and wasn't Russian anyway. There is a real post traumatic stress disorder in Russia due to WW2 and Stalin's own purges . The fact we heard less about it than the holocaust is probably due to the secretive nature of communist governments. Genuine question. Did you know there was a famine in China 1959-1961 that killed between 25-40million people? I didn't until fairly recently. Why did this enormous event bypass the consciousness of most people? We all know that what we are taught and what we read is selective, dependent on where we live and the interests of our teachers. That doesnt make the one we know more about a Jewish conspiracy.

There's an obvious contradiction in your post. Yes Russia suffered a similar experience to the Jews at hands of the Nazis - and guess what? its lead to similar foreign policy to Israel's based on an obsessive concern about security and defence of the homeland.

Two separate and distinct points there - prejudice and the moronic attitude of much of media to deciding what is 'newsworthy'. Extreme action tends to build extreme reaction. You cant gas six million people within the lifetime of many people who are currently in positions of power and expect no response to ensuring it never happens again. I think policies of Israel towards its neighbours and Palestinians are frequently wrong, but more importantly, hugely counter productive. As Russia has shown, you dont increase your security by bullying your neighbours and ****ing off the world community. That said you can see why they do what they do. The internet has killed most serious journalism - or at least given a much bigger platform to which shoes Kylie is wearing or what Mario has said compared to 1 billion hungry people.

Ensuring dedicated fans are given the opportunity to attend our home fixtures is a priority, so too is rewarding the loyalty of our Season Ticket holders. We’re also committed to seeing new Saints fans come through the gates at St Mary’s and to introducing new supporters into the Southampton Way. So everyone is a priority - season tickets holders, regular fans and bringing in new fans. Thats cleared that up.

Thats the last time they'll have their name up in lights for quite a while.

As I posted below what is funny / acceptable has a lot to do with how much prejudice the butt of the joke already experiences. Scousers do probably get it more than is funny.
-
There are double standards - and there should be. Jokes about a Texan starving will always be funnier than ones about an Eritrean. Stereotypes and jokes between similar countries and groups which have no history of being discriminated against dont cause offence. Garlicky French, fat Americans, cowardly Italians, humourless Germans ho ho ho. Its different when there is a already a significant degree of prejudice against certain groups - making jokes about them can be seen as nasty prejudice instead of being good natured joshing between rivals / peers.
-
What would you think if someone posted "thick like a African and stinky like a Pakistani"? Is it more acceptable if you change it a bit to "Thick like a yokel and stinky like the French" and if so why?

It looks like Balotelli has added the bottom two lines to a pic which was otherwise fine.

This - will cost you $4 but well worth it http://sportsnationhd.tv/

Put it through Google translate. My club didnt want me because Im always crocked and no-one else in the league would take a chance given my injury record. Only Pompey are desperate enough to gamble yet again. Portsmouth and me were a perfect match - the last few years have been a car crash for both of us. I hope to be able to give them a sparkling 20 minutes before going off with a hamstring injury and playing no further part for the rest of the season.

As Whitey said its a civil case so judgement is given on balance of probability rather than beyond reasonable doubt. 50.1% to 49.9% is enough. The law doesn't allow a judge to say "ooh, I dont really know. Tricky isnt it?" (except in Scotland with their 'not proven' verdict).

Even odder that he would announce it to the BBC. Seems to lack basic ideas of whats appropriate

We were better before beating Sunderland 8-0 than we have been since imo. Sunday's result will be a big part in deciding which way our season goes.
-
If Davis is still out we should move Wanyama further forward to replace him. Then Tadic could cover DM, push Pelle out wide and use Long supporting Schnederlin up front.

"I got a Dyson but I dont even know if I want it". “I got two coffee makers, two tablets, two TVs and a stereo. I couldn’t tell you the prices, but I know they’re bargains.” Plebs! http://www.theguardian.com/business/2014/nov/28/black-friday-sales-police-attend-supermarkets-amid-scuffles

He probably just an arrogant **** like Mellor. Chief whips are not generally Mother Theresa types.
-
Imo he probably didn't say "pleb" on the occasion in question but that the words attributed to him were a compilation of lots of minor incidents over a period of time when he'd treated the police on duty outside Downing Street like plebs. They grew to dislike him and the incident was the final straw.

Sounds like you want one of those kids toys which can record 5-10 seconds of sound / voice for a couple of pounds. Dontr know where specifically you can buy them in Soton. Build a Bear workshop put them in their bears - try there.
