FIFA corruption isnt just Blatter, his cronies and fellow takers probably hold sway in the majority of committees. I can't help wondering if Garcia, the FA and UEFA have planned to allow FIFA to publish this doctored report, discredit it and them and give them the platform for reform.

Its impossible to know what would have followed if even things had been different - ala butterfly wings beating and Marty McFly with his mum. Its a mistake though to assume that just because WW2 happened then doing something different - more killing in WW1 - would have prevented it. I subscribe to the mainstream view that what WW1 actually taught us was that the humiliation of Germany and onerous reparations created the conditions for WW2. Those mistakes weren't repeated after WW2 and to my knowledge we havent yet had a WW3 nearly 70 years later.

It is, but tbh its the kind of thing I'd buy as a weekend car! (Some) people want their hobby car to be different from the workaday silver, black or dark blue. -
If the Netherlands dont win the next match they wont qualify, and if they do Hiddink wont resign. There will be much better times and opportunities times for Koeman to take over.I wouldn't be surprised to see him do three years here then take the job a year before the World Cup.

I wouldn't understimate the pull of playing somewhere you feel valued and enjoy your football, especially after a bad experience being a bit player.

Fiat Barchetta? Low miles, distinctive paint job, decent price. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201410158242592/sort/default/usedcars/quicksearch/true/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/model/barchetta/postcode/bn68qb/radius/1500/page/1/make/fiat?logcode=p -
I guess thats it. I always assume there is some rational basis for people's thoughts even if I disagree with the conclusion. In Pap's case its never evident no matter how much you try to tease it out.
-
Whats your problem with debating rationally? You start off well and then always default to making lame comments when somebody puts a sound counterpoint to your argument. Was there a referendum when we joined the Commonwealth? the WTO? the Berlin Convention (which decided tax policy globally). NATO?
-
Because Parliament voted to join the EU club and voted to on all new stages, thats the way democracy has always operated in the UK. Very few states have the Swiss system of frequent direct referenda on big issues. We voted to join the club get the benefits and comply with the rules. We can equally vote to leave. There is no loss of sovereignty, just a complaint that the electorate public havent had a vote - which is a different issue.
-
Thats true, but realistically what else could they have done about it? The cheating was done by a legitimately elected government. The EU sent in auditors and attempted to get real data. Do you solve the problems of a dysfunctional country by keeping the money supply going and trying to reform it, or pull the plug let it totally collapse and see a total meltdown of society and infrastructure - far far worse than anything EU enforced austerity has done.

Actually they lent it because the Greek government fiddled the books and lied about both spending and tax receipts, aided by Goldman Sachs. http://www.spiegel.de/international/europe/greek-debt-crisis-how-goldman-sachs-helped-greece-to-mask-its-true-debt-a-676634.html http://demonocracy.info/infographics/eu/debt_greek/debt_greek.html

The point has been missed. I think Saints will get around 65-68 points. This season that might be enough for 4th. The fact that it wasn't in most previous seasons and probably wont be next season is irrelevant.

"Awford insists Pompey’s desire cannot be questioned". Well thats ****ing bad news for Pompey then. The only other explanation is that they're crap - and thats harder to fix.

Racist

Nah, he'll get a couple of hatricks with Italy and will float through the Villa game in a post coital haze .
-
Lets just agree that so far this season they've been the best. Thats all that really counts.

More like 41! I was wondering if you were Katharine or Sally for three minutes and how convincing your drag was. I used to fancy Katharine Merry too, disturbing.

No definitely turbo charged. Theres one here http://www.swva.co.uk/renault-5-gordini-turbo-1983/ They werent amazingly fast by todays standards, but they were hairy - 110bhp was a lot of power for that frame and skinny tyres. -
Thats the urn for my ambitions.

They fell out because he was dropped, or was dropped because they fell out, or not clear from interview?

You're ignoring the fact that in previous years whilst one top team may have had a bad start its unprecedented for four of the usual CL challengers - Man U, Liverpool, Everton and Spurs to all be stumbling badly at the same time. Unless there is a dramatic recovery by them AND a bad fallaway by Saints then its doable. The team currently in 4th, West Ham, are on target to get 62 points season end. Why would you want to deny that this year it could be doable? Not every year for sure, but this year, yes.

Here http://arsespeak.com/2013/04/20/top-four-threshold-how-many-points-does-arsene-need-for-champions-league-qualification/ Here http://www.spurs.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=7514542 and here http://basstunedtored.com/2013/01/26/what-you-need-to-finish-fourth-are-liverpool-close/ I'm sure you're the one who's right, after all you're clever and popular and awesome and stuff. Yes those examples don't include in 2014 - so have a go at disproving a 10 year trend based on one year, that would be you know, awesome.
-
The points required to get 4th averages at 65 over the past 7 years (ie the number required to beat 5th place, not the average points achieved by the 4th place team). So far we've averaged 2.27 points per game. We'd 'only' have to average 1.48 for the rest of the season to get 65. Its definitely doable.

He walks the talk too. He runs a refugee NGO in New York now when he could easily have gone into something more lucrative in business.
