Would be very happy with Williams. CEO roles tend to be demanding though - most people aged 65 would head more towards non exec chairman.

Don't step thereeeee......

CORTESE - a personal and factual view of why Ms Liebherr was right.

The Cardiff thing is a myth, Saints got suckered in to paying too much on the illusion there was competition. He may have turned out to be worth it now - but based on proven quality at the time we overpaid. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23364260 http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/celtic-fc-boss-neil-lennon-5164263 http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/ex-kilmarnock-boss-shiels-southampton-s-wanyama-hes-not-worth-125m-3969148 -

There has also been a lot of comment we overpaid for Wanyama and Ramirez -
Nobody knows why Cortese left or what KL wants to do with Saints - let alone whether she thinks £120m is risible or not. All we know is Saints are looking for a CEO and expect an appointment quickly. It would be odd to make a new CEO appointment if you were about to sell imminently - you'd simply place the club in the hands of nominees from a law firm.

Interesting item about a possible lull in sun activity and what implications that will have for climate. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-25771510 -

"I wrote to David Cameron in April 2012 to warn him that disasters would accompany the passage of his same-sex marriage bill," wrote Silvester, an elected member of the town council in Henley-on-Thames, west of London. It is his (Cameron's) fault that large swathes of the nation have been afflicted by storms and floods. "He has arrogantly acted against the Gospel that once made Britain 'great' and the lesson surely to be learned is that no man or men, however powerful, can mess with Almighty God with impunity and get away with it, for everything a nation does is weighed on the scale of divine approval or disapproval." http://uk.news.yahoo.com/ukip-councillor-blames-gay-marriage-british-floods-201633796.html#Argqwvg

180 degrees wrong Lowe sued Samuel for libel for a piece written when he was at the Times. -
Wonder what the sanctions would be for going into admin again.

plus the fact that the opposition know he's lost his mobility, so will push out quickly and leave him offside. Thats why he sits deep and as a consequence we lose cutting edge.
-
Its really hard to do. RL had the attributes but seems to have lost his mobility and jumping power so ends up playing AM - which is largely why we've lost a lot of cutting edge. That situation is unlikely to improve as RL gets older. Osvaldo could do it better with practice imo.
-
Don't think he did. If he had the ball would have changed direction, going at 90 degrees to Gaston. It carried on straight ahead.
-
I thought at the time and from one replay it was fair tackle and Brown got the ball. After watching it in slow mo several times its clear Brown doesn't get a touch and it was a pretty reckless lunge. Can't blame the ref for not spotting it at the time.

5 goals in 22 PL matches isn't good enough for a main striker.

This really, but combined with the injuries its a bad day for us. -
Dont know whats up with him, but whatever it is its been too long with no product. sold to WHU fine with me.
-
At least Wanyama and Osvaldo will be back. We're going to need them.
-
Exactly. Tactics are good, but need a goalscorer.

oh.

Agree with this. The train from Amsterdam to Brussels is about 2 hours, and then the train from Brussels to London is also about 2 hours. Time wise city centre to city centre its about the same as flying but a lot less hassle. Can be as low as £75 if you book in advance. http://uk.voyages-sncf.com/choose-your-outbound-journey

The Judge would have judged but Cortese didn't give him the chance - he knew he would lose so caved before the hearing.
