Havana and Hotel du Vin good shouts. Havent tried Dermot O'Leary's place. Terre a Terre in East Street is a veggie restaurant which is amazing - well worth going to to discover how much you dont miss meat when the veggie food is so well prepared. Drakes in Marine Parade is a quiet romantic place, great food, some think its the best in Brighton. Jamie Olivers Italian in Black Lion Street is good if you dont want to spend a shedload and want a buzzy atmosphere
Girlfriend bought a Chanel knock off dress in Bangkok. Looked beautiful. She ripped it one day and took it to be repaired at a seamstress in Brighton. When she went to pick it up, the woman said "this is a copy isnt it?" adding the only way that she could tell was that the real stuff is appalingly made in Paris whereas her copy was quality.
Any organisation with a presence in the area would want to be involved and consulted about council plans for redevelopment. Applies to the aggregates and concrete producers as much as Saints. I very much doubt the club would relocate outside the area - you dont bang on about history, introduce a 125th anniversary shirt and then unnecessarily spunk £100m on having to build a new stadium in a souless out of town location.
At risk of ignoring the points made in 33,000 previous posts, I still dont get why the £48 million in parachute payments isnt ringfenced for the creditors, whilst Pompey are made to play using whatever resources they can generate themselves.
The Mallory one is quite poignant. Being the first to climb everest, and wearing a wooly jumper and cotton coat without oxygen was a major major achievement. For the rest, if you die up there whilst wearing modern gear and using oxygen in a pointless quest to be number 2,000 and something to the top - tough.
Yep. Its ordinary chav gear but massively overpriced to make it seem to the hard of thinking that they've 'made it' when wearing it. £1,000 for a nylon parka?

Havent been there for a few years, but basically if you're after 24 hour women, alcohol, gambling, and a good dose of tack -its pretty hard to miss regardless of where you go. Have fun.
Edit: Quad biking in the desert is great.
