  1. This what you need people. Protect yourselves! http://www.stopabductions.com/
  2. Exactly. Having no current plans to leave and not leaving are two totally different things.
  3. When I was kid it was possible, if you asked nicely, to ask someone at the club to have your autograph book taken into the dressing room and the players would sign it. Maybe they will still do that.
  4. Nick Holmes, Ian Dowie. TBH though, if you look at the sheer number of junior and senior players who have passed through Saints over the years, its surprising more dont surface.
  5. The BNP, leaving aside their immigration policy, are distinctive on most issues. Whilst the three main parties all agree on pretty much everything -to stay in the EC, anti capital punishment, troops in Afghanistan etc. The BNP do at least offer a real choice. Whilst I dont agree with them on hardly anything I think in some ways they are a good thing to shake up the cozy cartel of the main three.
  6. You're right in that nobody will buy them for more than the value of the assets, so Chanrai will stay as owner and sort out a deal with Gaydamak that sees them getting the most back out of the club that they can - and will do whatever is necessary. I really can see Poopey still being around in some form - but with Fratton sold off and all decent players gone.
  7. Good player in his day and nice to hear he a good bloke too. Past his best now and the right decsion to retire imo.
  8. Enjoyed that, cheers.
  9. I agree that hydrogen will become the main 'portable' fuel for transport, especially cars - but you need a lot of electricity to split water into oxygen and hydrogen (the most eco friendly way of doing it - otherwise you end up with lots of methane). So maybe we will need the solar power to make the electricity to make the hydrogen.
  10. I'm sure thats true. But letting his agent place stories about possible better offers from other clubs as a negotiating tool is not only a bit pathetic but transparent also.
  11. Fair enough Wes. I agree intelligibility is the most important thing.
  12. I know! Dull pedant BTF!
  13. Besides the spelling mistake there are at least two grammatical errors in your short piece too Wes. "either because they had poor teachers, were poor pupils, or are just plain thick. Mind you, poor teaching is not a valid excuse really". It's one thing to be a dull pedant, but if you are going to make that special effort to appear to have superior communication skills - at least ensure you don't make schoolboy errors.
  14. If you have some idea of what you want (size / amount to pay / brand / built in freeview etc) you cant do better than www.pricerunner.co.uk - compares the market for consumer electricals. I use it all the time.
  15. What a load of ********. Its just a way of directing infrastructure funding to regions which have close trade and transport links. Anyway its old news, the EU funding programme INTERREG has been using the model for over 10 years. The Daily Mail even got wet knickers about the same issue 3 years ago. Just panic mongering before an election. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-403522/New-map-Britain-makes-Kent-France--German-idea.html
  16. 'wreckage spread over a wide area' could be tricky on a passport.
  17. Murder rate 30 times higher than UK http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_mur_percap-crime-murders-per-capita
  18. You do know that these are just the names in English. Everbody has different names for places and always have done. Its no big deal that the French call London 'Londres' or we call the Russian capital 'Moscow' when they call it Mockba.
  19. denuded
  20. You should watch this.
  21. Actually there is. Its called an election. You know when the majority of people get to decide who is in power whilst a few deluded ordinairy people vote for a bunch of Old Etonians set on promising everything to all and only actually redistribute money to wealthy.
  22. For a long while I thought SA was going to emulate Botswana, one of the few success stories in Africa, but now I do fear they are heading down the Zimbabawe route (nothing to do with the ETB killing) .
  23. Post of the thread
  24. Snap. My ex wife was great until we had the first baby.
