We essentially had no centre forward because Larin was getting bullied and having a terrible game. Makes it very difficult to play the way we do without someone who can play with their back to goal and hold the ball up. Especially when we were getting pinned in deep as much as we were, the balls just coming straight back. Stewart came on and made it stick a few times and we managed to get further up the pitch and grew into the game and probably should have nicked it 1-0. If Larin starts again on Tuesday then he needs to grow a pair and start winning some 50/50’s rather than just conceding the duel before the ball has even got there.

Never been a giant fan of it, think it’s a bit scouse and a bit noddy. BUT, if ever there was ever a time to recreate that WBA pregame and atmosphere to show the club we’re still behind them 100% then Tuesday is it.

They’ll know that’s one foot in the door for Saints. prime will still saints finishing for them today.
