BBD is probably a useful squad player at this level. He can play multiple positions across the front, proved himself pretty to be alright at this level at Derby. I wouldn’t want him starting too often but we could do worse for someone to have in the squad. I think at the least we should let Tonda have a good look at him through pre season and see if he can get something out of him. And I’m saying that as someone who thought he looked like he’d won a competition to play for Saints in the premier league.

I wouldn’t say so, at least not the original gathering at the police station, but once it moved into portswood you’re always going to attract the local dregs and once battle lines get drawn things will turn ugly. As a result any chance of reasoned discussion on the wider issues that caused the police to act in the way they did will get stifled because the big bad wolf far right got violent and things will simmer under the surface until the next big incident and we can go round in circles again.
