I have the same gut feel... we do appear to be more unlucky than most teams with career affecting injuries on our younger players... I wonder if the stats back up this perception?.

Bad form I know but I'm inclined to answer the question with a few questions... What other team(s) in the Premier League (past or present) play (or have played) with similar tactics to that of Russell Martin? How much did they spend on their squad? And how well did they do? The answer to those questions will inform us as to what we would need to do to emulate the teams that play like us, but in the PL...

I guess interviewers such as Blackmore are in a damned if they do, damned if they don't position. He's been accused plenty of times in the past of giving managers an easy ride in interviews. I still see nothing in his opening statement/question that warrants a tetchy reaction from a professional football manager so I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. (Unless we're all supposed to share the same opinion?)

Am I the only one not seeing anything contentious/provocative about Adam Blackmore's opening question? Word-for-word: "Russell, first of all, well done on the clean sheet, but I thought the second half turnaround, stopping them getting near the penalty area and creating the chances they created in the first half was probably the difference in the game?" What am I missing? What would have been a better opening question?

Usually when a player doesn't appear in the match day squad when they're expected to, we get a pre-match insight from the likes of Adam Blackmore as to the reason behind it... Tonight? Not a dickie bird on Ross Stewart... Brace ourselves for bad news..? (reading between the lines)
