Maybe it's just me but that shoulder design doesn't work with the stripes

I'd venture it's almost a certainty that's what'll happen. Stephens has been far too involved in pre-season photoshoots for him to then be sidelined / demoted, IMO.

13? Edit: just checked... 16 Edit #2: 1,065 minutes playing time in total, which equates to approx 11.5 full games

The song that Huey Lewis & The News successfully sued for ripping off one of their tracks... for which you, sir, are complicit in the crime, as a result of your purchase...

"I don't like possession for possession's sake" FFS Will... You're not going to beat the Southampton FC Unbeaten Run World Record if you don't play that way mate 🤦🏻

What'll be more cost effective in the long run? Not getting in better players because we don't want to pay the sub-standard players we can't shift or getting in better players regardless and cover the garden leave pay retrospectively with a fraction of the premier league riches upon promotion...? We've got financial clout (in this division) so let's exploit it, rather than settle for second best. Or maybe I'm just too much of a simpleton

The view from the "Keep it Simple" camp.... Would you swap Bazunu and/or McCarthy with keeper(s) from any other Championship club(s)? No? Keep them Yes? Replace them Piece of piss this "Ensure our squad is one of the best in the division" malarkey...

The red looks consistent on this photo? (albeit of the ladies version)... a much brighter shade than the other photos though!

They couldn't have made that look any more tinpot if they'd tried! Why not repeat what they did with the Starling logo previously..?
-
Positives: good to see such an iconic Saints kit get a reboot and good that the club badge is more in proportion than the one on the Chinese effort. Negatives: the black border around the logo is too thick, which makes it look a bit amateurish; having two different reds is totally bizarre: why would it even occur to someone that was an idea worthy of consideration, let alone implementation? And the triangles on the shoulder make the design as a whole look a tad higgledy-piggledy rather than slick. But... "It's only a kit" so doesn't really matter....

Sheesh, that hits hard in the heart. I know it's a cliché but it really does put our day-to-day grumbles into perspective. RIP ❤️

Playing my Devil's Advocate card... if it's someone's job to hire good people and they hire shite people, doesn't that make the person who did the hiring shite at their job too....?

Yep, fair point 👍 As long as we end up with one of the best, if not the best, strike forces in the division (on paper) then I'll be happy with our transfer / retention policy.

Which rumours and decisions? Ta 👍

Apologies... I'll have to duck out of this survey as my music tastes are probably far too un-trendy for the Saintsweb music snobs....

Look.... cards on table... (and bear with me if I talk nonsense, as I've had a few lunchtime snifters).... I get the "you'll never know if we have the best strike force until the end of the season" logic.... of course, that goes without saying.... All I'm suggesting we do (with my "Keep It Simple Stupid") hat on, is that we (i.e. the club) aim to get the best possible players in that our budget can afford... rather than, say, exclusively aim for players "with potential".... in other words, I'd rather we target one striker valued in the "£15m to £20m" bracket than 3 strikers valued in the "£5m to £10m bracket"... Just a gut feel... a hunch that's not based on anything scientific or intellectual... just me as a simpleton...

Yep, fair point.... I agree that any judgement before then would have an element of subjectivity about it.
