Arguably, the 'concept' is the reverse of before. The original academy seemed to go for a 'quantity over quality' approach - i.e. If we get one or two first teamers out of an intake of, say 20-30 per year, then that was deemed a success. Cortese on the other hand looks to be going for 'quality over quantity' - i.e. Success would be the vast majority of the "U21s" set up making the first team squad.

Interesting. Like it. Another example of Cortese turning the club into a self-sufficient profit making machine.

It's cheaper if you buy an annual toll pass though.... :-)

I was thinking that too. If I was the head of the new school I'd appreciate the honesty of a future employee being forthcoming with what has happened. Concealing now could lead to problems down the line and taint her reputation even more. If the new school was to then do a knee jerk reaction and call off the new job that would be a blessing in disguise in a way as it would highlight a lack of compassion in the people in charge at the new school.

The article says it's a straight replacement of the reserves team so it looks like they will play the same games as the 'old' reserve team would have done. The main difference being that the 'reserves' will be formed entirely of younger players.

I feel for you and your wife in your situation Dr Who. It's all very easy for people to come on here and give it the "daft for posting on Facebook" line but we're all human and do things we regret over the years. I'm guessing it's too late for what I'm about to suggest but couldn't she have simply denied it was her who posted it and that it must have been 'someone who knew her' who logged into her account? I know that's an unlikely explanation in the cold light of day but the burdon of proof would have been on the school (?) and they wouldn't have been able to prove it, no matter how far fetched it looked. As I say, probably too far down the line for such a tactic. Anyway, good luck and hope it blows over for you both. All the best
