  1. 2 April 2009 Southampton Leisure Holdings plc ("SLH" or "the Company") Appointment of Administrators The Board announces today that it has appointed Mark Fry and David Hudson of Begbies Traynor (South) LLP as joint administrators to the Company. http://www.londonstockexchange.com/LSECWS/IFSPages/MarketNewsPopup.aspx?id=2127610&source=RNS
  2. Lowe edit: sorry, misread the wording of the question. Lowe "called in" the administrators as a result of Barclays "putting" us in the position of having to.
  3. Shame the likes of 'Saints Aid' weren't better attended then I guess? Although not sure how funds from such an event can/could be ring-fenced for just the non-playing staff that are starting to suffer?
  4. How did the share price get to 65p when Paul Allen was "interested" in April/May 2007?
  5. In other words, shorten your sentence above to the first 4 or 5 words?
  6. Assuming the meeting happened at the allotted time....
  7. That would certainly register quite high on the 'unreasonable-o-meter' !
  8. Anyone got a wheat and chaff detector so we know which posts we need to 'pay attention to' and which we can dismiss as hearsay? cheers
  9. I believe Phil has been highlighting that it's down to 'unreasonable' terms and conditions rather than people falling over any late financial hurdles, per se. (If I'm reading between the lines correctly...)
  10. Not forgetting the lack of season ticket revenue. All self defeating this admin malarkey. The Admin rules seem to prevent the company doing the very things that could save it. Madness (IMHO)
  11. "Administrator Mark Fry has travelled to the stadium to inform staff as to what is going on" (a) what office has Fry been working from over the last 8 weeks? (I'd always assumed he was based at the stadium...) and (b) why is Fry (the administrator of SLH plc) dealing with the staff of Southampton Football Club Ltd....shouldn't it be their bosses (Jones and Tointon) telling them this stuff?
  12. Understand your frustration Phil but, to be fair, at the last count we've had 167 pivotal days in the last 2 years....it's spotting the ones that really matter which is the tricky part....
  13. Are you Ken Tointon?
  14. How long is the meeting scheduled to last? Thanks
  15. Except that we never hear the outcome of meetings, press conferences, etc that get reported as happening on here. Apart from that....
  16. Does your dog bite?
  17. Surely, if you've "heard" what's happening then that makes you "in the know", doesn't it? (could be me losing the plot and/or will to live of course....)
  18. = SFC administration today?
  19. Sorry, amongst all the frivolity I forgot to ask.....Why? Are you a chauffeur in a pink Rolls Royce per chance?
  20. Would prefer beach volleyball TBH....
  21. Are any of the players paying for the re-seeding of the pitch this year or did that only happen under Lowe's tenure?
  22. http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=09/05/27/162216 Bitterness To Be Classified As a Mental Illness Some psychiatrists are trying to get excessive bitterness identified as a mental illness named post-traumatic embitterment disorder. Of course this has some people who live perfect little lives, and always get what they want, questioning the new classification. The so called "disorder" is modeled after post-traumatic stress disorder because it too is a response to a trauma that endures. "They feel the world has treated them unfairly. It's one step more complex than anger. They're angry plus helpless," says Dr. Michael Linden, the psychiatrist who put a name to how the world works.
