  1. You try doing links on this crap excuse for a mobile computer (aka iPhone) :-)
  2. I can concur with this. I'm working on a project at the moment where the 'legacy' staff are (educated estimate) having to work three times as hard as five years ago to make up for the ineptitude of the "cheaper" on-shore and off-shore outsource resources. (not that they weren't working 'hard' in the first place) The trouble is, the powers that be see a low chargeout rate on a spreadsheet somewhere but don't see the impact in the shop floor. The project I'm working on is over-running by c.4 months and the lions share of that is due to outsourcing. It's a complete false economy run by people with a vested interest to keep the outsourcing contracts going,
  3. Tree hugger ;-)
  4. Yay...found the quotes from mervyn king about how promising he thinks the con-lib plans are: Trousers back in the game in extra time. Come on Trousers! ;-)
  5. But, of course, if the con-lib budget measures are followed by another double-dip we'll never know whether another approach would have been better or worse. (apart from the 'theoreticals' of different experts of course). Not that that will stop the critics looking at it in absolute rather than relative terms of course. You may have won 'pick a quote' for today but I hereby claim first prize for the most "of course"s in one post
  6. Ta. I just saw a breaking news thingamy on t'telly out of corner of my eye earlier. I think you may just have won 'pick a quote' for today though.
  7. What date was that?
  8. Whereas the head of the very Bank that he advises said today that the new government had "strong" policies to deal with the situation. I like this 'pick a quote' game. Your go :-)
  9. More Tory cuts too...they even cut the temperature to 10 year low last night. -5 degrees C....WTF is that all about. Bring back Labour and global warming FFS
  10. Cameron out!!
  11. I think he missed the word 'not' from his opening sentence (?)
  12. The election is over now
  13. I didn't think they told us anything via the OS anymore? ;-)
  14. John Prescott was the best Transport Minister that Labour ever had. Best doesn't always = good :-)
  15. Are we a laughing stock yet?
  16. You mean you're actually going to get a chance to vote for your leader this time.....? ;-)
  17. Hoorah...some balanced and respectful cross party views. What a great way to end the General Election 2010 forum and move onto the World Cup forum......
  18. Any Pompey owners in attendance?
  19. I suggest we latch onto Solent's latest 'Tweet' by way of revenge...
  20. I'd rather we dotted the i's and crossed the t's on the Skacel deal first TBH
  21. http://www.mensa.org.uk
  22. Can anyone translate the last paragraph in that piece for me: "Then I will be back for pre-season which will be a bit of a nightmare for everyone, but we will get through it and be ready for the start of the new season. We have a programme to follow and we will need to do that, otherwise we will be found out." Thanks
  23. Made me chuckle
  24. Arthur Scargill please
  25. Maybe Cortese has simply cottoned onto the reality that teams in lower leagues are more often than not promoted when they have 'lower league managers' rather than 'higher league managers' that have dropped down a league it two? Just a thought, mind you...
