  1. I remember chuckling when I saw a picture of Boris Johnson and Benny Hill side by side together. Not sure if that counts?
  2. For carrying out Truss's policies... How on Earth can she survive this?
  3. Load
  4. Taking tinpottery to whole new levels
  5. #itkwatch
  6. Inclined to agree that it seems we are well shot of him, but maybe it exposes a weakness in our senior management recruitment process if we can't identify what appears to be an obvious a bad egg before we offer them a job...?
  7. Theo Walcott mkII Two assists and one goal in his first 5 games back playing for us... Not so good ever since... P.s. @Monk - as per the aim of your OP, not sure how this thread is supposed to make us less miserable!? 😂
  8. I've been thinking for a while that SR have been just as quiet as Gao was. Expected them to be a bit more visible and communicative than they have been, although still early days in relative terms I guess.
  9. If he's "only going for the money" then, of course, it's understandable and "no big deal". However, I've no idea whether this is his only motivation or if there are other factors at play here so, again, I'll reserve overall judgement until I know all the facts (call me old fashioned)
  10. We can only answer that question if we know first-hand the reason(s) why he's quitting. If the reason is that he's a bit of an un-loyal job-tart twat then, yep, no big deal... But... IF (for example) he's seen significant flaws with the way the club is being run and he can see a car crash ahead then maybe, just maybe, it is a "big deal"...
  11. The "What about my town?" brigade whenever a band post their latest tour itinerary on social media.
  12. Yeah, bonkers... Everyone knows the universe is a computer simulation and nothing is actually real.
  13. Yeah, but there's also the possibility that nothing is awry.... #backonthefence

    Coronavirus

Maybe I should refrain from posing rhetorical questions in future
  15. All very bizarre. Definitely has the vibe of something going awry at board level...
  16. I could be mis-remembering here but didn't Blackmore used to conduct a Thursday/Friday 1-2-1 interview with the manager (which the club used to punt out on YouTube around the same time as the pre-match press conference) but they ended up ditching them due to Blackmore not holding back on asking 'difficult' questions...? As I say, perhaps my memory playing tricks on me but my recall is that he's dished out the criticism and praise in relatively equal measures over the years.

    Coronavirus

Playing my devil's advocate card quite a lot today but.... how do you know you wouldn't have got it, say, 4 times instead of twice if you hadn't had some/any vaccine jabs? I don't think the vaccine was ever touted as reducing the chance of catching it to zero was it? In other words, maybe the vaccine was 50% effective in your case? (which is better than nothing, I'd have thought?)
  18. Yeah, sorry. Trying to be too clever has never worked out well for me
  19. Yep... my cock-up on that one admitted.... fair cop
  20. yeah.... realised my cock up just after posting I'll get back in my box
  21. ...
  22. You may have a valid point there sir.... (sorry @once_bitterne )
  23. Ha... "great minds...."
  24. Just to play my devil's advocate card briefly.... how do we know Blackmore didn't say that just to drum up reaction and/or calls to his radio show? "Radio host in saying something provocative to raise heckles and wind-up listeners shocker" kinda thing....? (I'm not saying this is what he was up to, just wondering if it can be ruled out as blatent 'WUMery'...)
