  1. Reed strikes me as the kind of player that would suit Hasenhuttl's style of play down to a tee. Ticks the 'young rough diamond' box too. Would be disappointed to see him join Norwich without Ralph assessing his suitability for our set-up first (which I'm sure he'll do)
  2. ...
  3. I was trying to be polite
  4. I'm happy with a dose of pragmatism. Most, if not all, teams outside the Top 6 get to 40 points relatively late in the season, so stating that's our aim is no different to saying "we're aiming to finish 7th" in reality.
  5. Examples of this "hype"? Most posts I've seen describe him as a good prospect who has improved considerably under RH as the season has progressed.
  6. Indeed. Kudos to Hassenhuttl for putting his faith in Valery and shipping out Cedric, amidst some angst from a few on here...
  7. On my way back from the game. Yet another one of those frustrating Saints games where every molecule in your body is telling you that we wouldn't hold onto the lead (twice). So bloody annoying given we dominated the majority of the game. Why do we need 10+ chances to score a goal whereas our opponents seemingly score with every chance they get? Have faith in Ralph fixing this issue next season. In more positive news, finally got to meet Fitzhugh Fella after all these years! Good to see you Sir. We are staying up... Happy days
  8. Ticket link here: https://tickets.saintsfc.co.uk/PagesPublic/ProductBrowse/VisualSeatSelection.aspx?stadium=SM&product=NH18SU&campaign=&type=H&productsubtype=U23S&productIsHomeAsAway=N (not sure why they haven't put it up on the list of available games on the OS)
  9. Was certainly touch and go for me whether I went to watch Saints or saved the planet... Or maybe this... https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/17599741.hundreds-set-to-attend-pro-brexit-rally-in-southampton So, just the two demostrations happening in the city centre on the same day as Saints v Bournemouth. What could possibly go wrong....

  12. Probably due to this: https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/17599365.extinction-rebellion-is-organising-action-in-southampton-on-saturday Was certainly touch and go for me whether I went to watch Saints or saved the planet...
  13. Is that Vokins on the far right?
  14. Nice one. Cheers Shroppie
  15. But is he fit to play? (Lemina was 'back in training' about 2 months ago, for example)
  16. https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/non%20sequitur Who has said it wouldn't be hard to maintain our form under RH over a whole season? It would be bloody hard, hence why it makes sense to improve the squad...
  17. I don't see it as "odd" to leave out the Cardiff game but not any others. Just a different opinion at the end of the day (I happen to believe a new manager can't have any direct/significant impact on a game after 2 days at a club whereas 10 days is enough to have a significant influence. All very subjective I agree... that's opinions for you ) Agree
  18. Fair points (I tend not to include the Cardiff game as RH wouldn't have had any significant impact on the outcome of that IMO) I guess all I'm trying to do is counter Batman's ascertain that we need "serious changes to make us a top 10 side". That's clearly untrue; but, of course, that doesn't mean that we shouldn't be aiming to make significant improvements to the squad in certain areas over the summer. We should be doing that regardless.
