  3. Blimey! £15 holidays to Spain.... cracking deal....
  4. "Every cloud..."
  5. We have to put up with Pompey fans on our main board, as the mods turn a blind eye to the several that do post, despite them being easy to spot...
  6. This is the only forum on the world wide web that doesn't have any trolls. How more times does that have to be spelled out? Ask the mods; they will confirm this is the case.
  7. Is this official notification that you're playing your "I told you so" card or are you still keeping it up your sleeve, along with your "glad I was proven wrong" card, at least until it's formally confirmed by the club?
  8. Just back from the game. We should have been out of sight by half time. With Gabbiadini one feels that we would have been. Bournemouth stepped up a gear or two in the second half and we started to struggle with their midfield running at us. Draw probably the fair result all things considered. Hurry back Gabbi! I might be being a bit dim here (for once), but how did he damage a ligament on the underside of his foot when, I assume, Vardy stamped on the top of his foot? Could it be that he damaged the ligament as a result of playing on for a few minutes because he was over-compensating/protecting the Vardy injury?
  10. My money would be on Seager making the bench (if we're going to include a striker from the U23s). IIRC, Seager was next in the promotion pecking order, ahead of Olomola, before his long term injury last season.

Puel also said he hasn't ruled out VvD being back before the end of the season. Sounded about 50/50 to me.
  12. A decent pre-match press conference for a change. Most questions about our players rather than what the opposition manager had for breakfast
  13. You'd have thought that he would be cock-a-hoop and chilled out after being made a director a couple of months ago...
  14. Cheers. I work for a small software company (also with banks etc as our main clients) and haven't noticed any significant slow down yet, indeed, our results for 2016 were better than 2015, although perhaps any lag hasn't caught up with us yet. If it gets anywhere near as bad as it did after the 2008 crash then I'll start to get worried
  15. Out of interest, what industry/sector does your company operate in?
  16. Or.... if they follow the example of the previous football club to play at Fratton Park prior to 2012, the deal will be: "do or go into administration (twice), reneging on the CVA (twice), shafting local businesses, charities, players and staff in the process, all whilst the Football League turns a blind eye and bends over backwards to stop them going under (aided and abetted by politicians, the judicial system and HMRC)"
  17. I almost signed up for a Pompey insurance deal until I realised it was only 3rd party fire and theft...(mainly theft actually)
  18. Indeed. Perhaps worth bearing in mind that in a lot of industries (insurance, utilities, etc), new customers actually get better deals than existing customers to entice them to sign up.
  19. Anyone else getting the nagging feeling that this could be another one of those "only out for 2 - 3 weeks" cases that ends up being "out of months"...?
  20. That's debatable. The family section is always one of the first to sell out each game
  21. Bring it on. I have new supplies of popcorn.
  22. Shame that this chap never got his hands on the club... would have been a perfect match... https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/3130260/national-gallery-painting-james-bond-slashed-first-pictures/
