Couldn't see any mention of Jankewitz though... Make of that what you will...

Could that simply be down to how McKennie has been told to play by his current manager/coach, rather than him being weaker in that aspect per se? Also, Hojbjerg has a relatively poor pass completion score (although not much lower than McKennie to be fair) so does that mean that most of those 'final 3rd passes' went astray...? Having a relatively high final 3rd passing ranking isn't much cop if said passes don't reach their intended destination (unless I'm mis-reading the stats, which is entirely plausible )

Anyone know if Jankewitz is playing in today's game? Might be something to read between the lines, as far as his senior squad aspirations/credentials are concerned, if he's not been picked for an U23s game...

There's definitely an 'abnormal' vibe about the PR output from the club at the moment. Only publishing 6 (?) photographs from the first week of pre-season, for example, is certainly bizarre territory. And no Salisu photoshoot yet - not even an informal photo of him holding a kit or suchlike - even though he was supposed to be out of quarantine beginning of this week at the latest (I believe ?). I'm sure, if quizzed, they would cite Covid as the main reason for this pre-season being different and, of course, that is no doubt a factor, but it's also an easy cop out....

Here's hoping we can muster more players than the 7 or 8 the club have managed to photograph in training thus far.... (MLG banter caveat: yes, I know it'll probably be a mixture of first teamers and U23s that we put out at this stage of pre-season anyway.)

I may be reading too much into it, but seems slightly contradictory that defensive contribution is "very strong" yet tackling is "weak".... one would have thought that those two attributes go hand in hand....? p.s. would be interesting to see a comparitive set of these gradings for Hojbjerg....
