To be fair, it was a valid point though. You did misinterpret 'could' for 'would' which altered the intention of the post you criticised. Anyway, all's fair in love and war. Anyone who'd think this soccer malarkey is serious business the way people bicker on here...

I've heard Labour spokespeople say that if the outcome of the negotiations is a 'bad deal' then they would seek an extension to the article 50 two year negotiation period and repeat the negotiations until such time they got a 'good deal'. Of course, the only problem with that strategy is that all 27 other EU members need to agree to said extension(s). What Labour haven't articulated (to my knowledge) is what they would do if the EU 27 refused an extension.which brings us back around to what you're saying, i.e. what would Labour do if there was only a 'bad deal' on the table and the EU 27 don't grant an extension to negotiations? My guess would be: call for another referendum

Bournemouth, Arsenal and Spurs games moved for TV https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017-10-19/southampton-television-fixture-changes-december-2017

Yep. Loved seeing all the photos people took.

Same thought has occurred to me. I think he plays in a more advanced position for Gabon, doesn't he?

Are Glasgow and Alpine running evening classes now?
-
Just seen the mid range weather forecast for the weekend. Possible storm force winds and torrential rain on Saturday. Marvelous.
-
So, what the stats show is that we're good at foreplay but rubbish at penetration?
-
Yep, it would appear we were able to find another gear when we needed to. All good.
-
To be fair, we were understandably sitting on a 3-0 cushion at the time and no need to bust a gut for the sake of it

Worldy free kick from JWP! 6-2
-
McCarthy... Lol Stay where you are Forster.... All is forgiven
-
Has anyone asked the club directly why they adopt this over cautious approach and what was their reply?
-
1-0 Barnes (8 mins) from a JWP corner

If Hesketh can recapture the form he was in a couple of years ago, whereby he warranted a call up to the first team, he could help plug the gap we have in the out-and-out attacking midfielder department (along with Josh Sims, who's due back in November/December IIRC)
-
Strong line up. Good to see Hesketh back in action
-
No recall for Gallagher then?
-
Reminded me of the heart-on-sleeve interviews that Fonte used to give in the not too distant past after disappointing performances...

One assumes the script is all set for JRod to score upon his return to St Mary's....? My line up off the top of my head (FWIW): McCarthy Bertrand VvD Yoshida Cedric Romeu Davis Boufal Lemina Gabbi Long subs: Forster, Targett/McQueen, Hoedt, JWP/Hojbjerg, Tadic, Redmond, Austin
-
Sums it up nicely. Which is the reason why we should play Boufal more often IMO. He adds some unpredictability to the mix.

Just back from the game. Another frustrating display. Positives...? Just a few: Gabbi... a superb individual goal and a well taken penalty. Hopefully this is the start of a goal spree for him. Lemina... Another MotM performance from him. A class act. Boufal... made a difference when he came on. Have been crying out for him to get a run in the team for weeks and, after today, if he doesn't replace Redmond in the starting 11 next week I'll be baffled. A draw was just about a fair result as Newcastle weren't much cop either. And I'm hoping VvD's apparent lethargy is more down to lack of matches rather than an underlying attitude issue. He could have done better/more for both goals IMO. P.s. the less said about the ref the better...

All subs out on the pitch warming up so looks like no subs at half time.

What sums it up for me is that we had a free kick 25 yards out and no-one seemed interested in having a crack at goal. Instead, we did the obvious floated ball over to the far post. So predictable. Surely that free kick was van Dijk territory? Lack of confidence or following manager's orders?
