  1. I'm still chuckling at the "league 2 powerhouse" oxymoron
  2. Here's your weekly ration of facepalm fodder fellow nutjobs... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-s-status-is-reason-for-ref-justice-1-7092901 POMPEY’s status as a League Two powerhouse is having a negative effect on referees Cook: "I believe personally that because we are such a big club, it can have a negative effect."

  6. Andy Murray is British the last time I looked. I think he was born in the Scottish part of Great Britain but not entirely sure. And then there's the back room staff...no idea where they were born... http://www.sportinglife.com/tennis/news/article/553/10077869/the-secret-of-gbs-success
  7. Saints 2 Liverpool 1 VvD 26, Mane 64
  8. People are bemoaning that Koeman didn't pick our strongest available line up, but isn't that because he/we want to play our best team on Wednesday? If he'd played our strongest 11 today and then gone out of the cup on Wednesday (due to lack of freshness, injury, etc) then the post match thread on Wednesday would be full of people slagging Koeman off for not resting players vs Man City. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't....?
  9. 2-1 !!!!
  10. Oopsie

  13. Because he wanted to or because he had to?
  14. John McDonnell has achieved the seemingly impossible and surpassed Ed Balls' level of incompetence. #spendingreview
  15. There were no questions about JRod's fitness at the live press conference that I was commenting upon. Bloody journos.
  16. Agree. Just reporting what Koeman said.
  17. It does seem a tad over the top but there are more important things in life to fret about I would venture. C'est la vie...
  18. I know I'm repeating myself but we've known for several weeks now that Jay has "painful feet" but not one interviewer has ever asked Koeman what type of injury is actually causing the pain. Hey ho.

    Injury Watch

JRod facing the prospect of surgery next week.
  20. Koeman: "Jay is not good. His feet are very painful. We did everything but now we have a tough decision. Looks like surgery next week"
